i was thinking newcastle but why not drive the 1020 kilometres to melbourne to fly back to brizzy for 2 hours - much better idea than just driving the 920 kilometres to brizzy.

I drive that distance to Bavaria several times a year. 13 hours door to door easy. 

The beer on arrival is always a highlight of the year. ?

If you get on the north west NSW train from Sydney at 14:44 you’ll be in Brisbane at 04:00. Nice relaxing train trip. Plenty of space to walk around. Come on @El Presidente. Get on public transport for the first time in your life ... or don’t you want to see Di?

mus, it is probably longer. it is just that all nsw folk want to be closer to Queensland so they shorten the distance.
