I heard it a couple of times last week but there was nothing concrete.

No regionals to be announced in 2019.

They may wish to catch up or it all may be a load of crap.  However to my mind, not a bad idea

Do you think that the regionals are starting to lose their luster?

Some certainly. I am not sure how many Montesco's can be done.

Then again the Sir David is the hottest cigar since the Bushido.

Distributors need to have a little more cojones in their selections. I don't want to see another RA regional for a while.

Well, considering there are more current, or what seem like current, regionals being produced, I have lost track. There are too many to count. No more freaking petit robustos, montescos, or robustos, PLEASE. That's all I ask

I'm not in the game, but certainly the Sir David had circumstantial advantages, at least for launch buzz.

Go big and be creative.

So, that's when they're shipping the rest of the 2017 editions?!?

Rather see them lose the LE line. Some of the RE are creative and a few revive lost vitolas and 'blends'

I have a feeling all the effort and materials that usually goes into Regionals will go into something specifically for Cuba.

It's the 500th anniversary of Havana next November culminating on the 16th (probably clashing to some degree with the Partagas festival), it will be a busy year.

I wouldn't be surprised at all at 100,000 boxes of Cuban San Cristobal Regionals. Plus 2-5 other commemorative (higher-priced) releases.

Oooh that is exciting. There were no Cuban regional cigars for 2017 or 2018, right? I think the SLR Marquez was the last one, in 2016. And the Diplo Exelencia the year prior.

Suits me fine. Ample opportunity to concentrate on stocking up on regular production stuff ?
