99call Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Is this an anomaly in the Non cuban world?, or just an elaborate fake?

Puros Y Vino Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 I'm guessing its a fake. I have a fake Davidoff box somewhere that has that stamp and I think they did make their own seal similar to the Cuban one once they moved over to the Dominican. But a Quai D'Orsay release. Never heard of it. 1

Never heard of it. It's funny, I reckon the street sellers in Habana would actually have more success, blagging people with an oddball like this, that dodgy boxes of Cohiba. I really have an affection for old fakes, especially the old Henry Clay ones. 1

nKostyan Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 I read somewhere that the first releases of QdS was associated with Davidoff. I'll look...
Puros Y Vino Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 I just found my Davidoff box pics. Two I believe are either fake or Dominican. And the Cuban one might be legit. I bought these empty on ebay for kicks. Here's the lineup. The Chateau Margaux on the left "might" be legit Cuban. I haven't really compared it to the actual seals of the era. No box code on bottom either. The middle one could be the Dominican release and the Haut-Brion I suspect is fake and the stamp reads "Hand made in Habana Club" and is accompanied by the green Davidoff seal. (You can see it better in the 2nd picture. The box on the far right) A close up of the seals. 1

BrightonCorgi Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 I thought Davidoff did not release any Chateau series cigars made in DR?
nKostyan Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 That's what I assume in my cigar club: collaborate production. Similarly, it was Dunhill 2
