I just don't get nature documentaries these days. You can't watch anything without animals killing each other. Yes I know they have to kill to survive but I just don't want to see it.. The last documentary I watched was about a mother raising her two cubs and it was going great guns until you see the mother gored to death and the cubs die..... They could have ended it 15 minutes early and it would have been great!

Meh :) The girl I used to work with quickly learned that I don't want to see photos of her going pigging with her dogs.....

I know I'm strange ;)

i guess i can understand those who don't wish to watch but for me, this is part of the natural world. happening right now, happened for many thousands of years. i'd like to understand as much of it as i can. i have watched every nature doco i could find since i can remember. seen the bro's shows dozens of times. never tire. it was the one of his where he sits with the gorillas that changed my life. i was absolutely determined to do that, somehow, before i croaked.

i was hoping that the impala would escape but reality intervenes.

Search "Fiona the hippo" for cute hippopotamus videos. I didn't think the video was unnecessarily bloody at all and was keen to see just how fast the hippos were.

hippos are amazingly quick. never forget spending an afternoon on a rock watching a group of them. aside from terrifying when they fought, i remember that they would leave a trail in the water like an outboard motor when they took off. staggered me. heard they were quick but had no idea that quick.

I’ve seen plenty of these types of scenarios play out from my days living in Kenya. One of the stand outs for me was watching a cheetah stalk an impala, chase it and take it down - incredible. Although my grandma was with us had a tough time watching it
