Popular Post madandana Posted August 9, 2018 Popular Post Posted August 9, 2018 This post inspired by great bolt Stogie Lovers post from April “Smoke em or save em “ is delayed because I lost my tasting notes and just found them. I decided to take his advise and finally pull out a Hamlet 56 from a trip that several of us were on with Rob to the homeland. We each received a bundle and I smoked my way through about half of them on the trip. Shortly after Hamlet left Cuba,so his custom rolls are now a little hard to come by. I’ve been hoarding them until now. I don’t remember what I was drinking that day but I know I was drinking because I wasn’t sleeping????. Prelight draw was light and I thought I tasted a little honey. Yup, by my third draw I knew it was honey because not only could I taste it, I could smell it. Man this is an out standing smoke. 2 nd third was pretty consistent with notes of honey. 3rd third the honey faded to rich tobacco flavor and a lot of complexity. Did I mention outstanding? Wow,this was awesome and lived up to all of the Hamlet hype. This was 152 minutes of pure smoking bliss. Sorry for the short review but it was so long ago it’s all I could remember. 7
SCgarman Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Wow you smoked that for 2 1/2 hours? Looks like a robusto sized cigar. Anyway, these cigars are now one of a kind never to be replicated. Doubt he will ever be able to roll Cuban tobacco again. But, he is a happy free American and is living the dream life now.

Not as long as he is employed by Rocky in the USA. Unless he chooses a new employer in another country.
Habana Mike Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Still have a couple from that trip as well. Need to take your cue and fire one up this weekend. Maybe with a Negroni! 2
