What  a first half!

The year has gone at a frenetic pace and come this time next week, half time will be called.

Two questions.

What is your "best cigar" to date of 2018?

What is your  MVC (Most Valuable Cigar) to date in 2018? This is the cigar that you have turned to most often.

Now if you would like to do a review on either, you will go into the draw for one of two samplers.

Simply do the following

1. Start a new thread.

2. Title it:    "Diplomatico Number 2 TOS MAY 16 :  Half Time Scoreboard 18

3. Provide a picture. Just a quick snap or two from your cellphone.

We will draw the winners Monday week.

If you do not wish to do a review, no problem but certainly let us know your "best cigar" and "MVC" to date.

Cohiba Corona Especial 2012

One of mine that has been aging at home.  A Sunday afternoon and I wasn't expecting the array and intensity of flavours.  Just one of those cigar experiences that blow you away.  This has been a good box but this cigar was one sexy beast.

I will smoke it over a  CORO right now and over pretty much any LE or Regional.

Bolivar Corona Gigantes from 2016

Last of the ones from last years Havana trip. Was sad to see it go. Really sad that they can't be found anymore. Wish I bought more.

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure no 2 from 2015

Deep into my last cab. Picked up a few cabs from Havana last year. Sigh. I just can't keep my hands off of them. They're really starting to get to that sweet creamy spot. Tempted to vacumm seal the remaining cigars just to help keep my grubby hands off of them.

Couldn’t agree more on the HdM Epi 2. I’m nursing a box of MEL Dic 15’s that’s just gotten so damn good in the last year. Not a one has let me down, and they’ve only gotten exponentially better with time.

2016 Cohiba Lanceros

Now, I know it's easy to name a $20+ dollar cigar here but taking price out of the equation, it was a notch above anything else.  Complex, stylish and unique, with much to look forward to as these accumulate some time down.

Parti Shorts.  Closing out a 2014 cab.  This is a cigar I prefer younger, truthfully.  Nonetheless, these 14s are adding some pleasant mellowness and I still reach for them when the occasion demands a quick blast of earthy Partagas power.

Actually, I’m thinking someone didn’t read the last sentence.

"If you do not wish to do a review, no problem but certainly let us know your "best cigar" and "MVC" to date."

Ouch, I read it but thought it still needed to be it's own post. Makes sense that no review would just post here. Oooooops

I also agree that JL2s are bang for buck, one of the best out there. Creamy. Leather. Looking back, my honorable mention here are Monte Petit Eddie's. Great taste and great value.
