i know, we have discussed this endlessly in the past.

my two faves have been tom hardy if you want the hard man persona. henry cavill if they go a little more suave, though the man from UNCLE did him no favours.

was watching a show the other evening, 'knightfall', not bad, about the knights templar, the holy grain, france v england etc. suddenly thought, hey this bloke polaying the lead would be a good Bond.

tom cullen. he is hard, rather than handsome. can clearly act - very good resume. welsh but that should not stop him. young  - early 30s so could play him for quite a while. he is my smoky for the role.

Yeah, Rufus is a long shot...

there might be a couple of potential bond girls in those pics but no 007s.

Apparently the dwarf with the love interest in the elf film the Hobbit films is the firm favourite.

Some obviously painful and twisted part of me always wanted to see Kiera Knightley play a vicious and heavy drinking bond that matched the novel's version. I think that boat has passed though

Yeh that's the guy, not overly impressed either to be honest. I mean it's a world away from Tom Hiddleston who was supposedly a shoe in before Craig changed his mind to do another few movies, that would have been horrible.

I don't honestly really see anyone currently as being the right fit; Tom Hardy has a different type cast established now, I think it's moved on for Damian Lewis. Idris Elba I don't think has the right stuff. I wonder if a woman bond will genuinely be in contention this time around.

It will never happen but I would love to have seen what Daniel Day Lewis could have done with Bond and a good script/director.

not sure i am on board with dd lewis. hard to see it being his thing. brilliant as lincoln but bond?

did not like the idea of hiddleston. like damian lewis but yes, don't think he is now a bond. idris elba is no chance. too old for one thing. i have more chance of being the next bond than a woman.

tom hardy or henry cavill most likely for me but i reckon this tom cullen might be a smoky.

was talking to the guys from bollinger about the next one the other day. they are getting very excited.

I agree never his thing at all, in fact I read an interview from him recently where he said he doesn't enjoy acting at all, it has always been a kind of self-made punishment for him. I'm more intrigued to see what a method actor could do from the Flemming novel's Bond. I'd suspect the result would be something far, far darker and oppressive than anything previously portrayed. But yes, I'd think it would be a role administered at gunpoint.

I'm just glad the days of Hugh Grant and Danny Dyer being in genuine contention have been left in the past..
