mikem2780
Any suggestions on must try restaurants or things to do while in Toronto?
nvrp813
Without knowing what section of Toronto you’re staying in, i recently returned from a business trip and had great food and beer at Bar Hop. It’s in the entertainment district, and kind of a hole in the wall, but excellent atmosphere.

canadianbeaver
Go to the Eaton Centre if the weather is lousy. Go to Queen Street near Bathurst, and walk towards Ossington and see all the cool shops. Go to Yorkville and see the expensive boutiques and LCDH. Want an incredible steak dinner? Go to Michael’s or Jacob’s & Co. We live over 2 hours north but lots of brothers there. Lived there all my life. Enjoy! CB
shall
I'll second Jacob's and Co. (King and Brant) Wonderful meal. Get a Caesar salad...made table side. Quite the show. We also enjoy Hemingway's rooftop bar (Cumberland St. by the Yorkville rock) but it is typically summer. Might not have the same je ne sais quoi in the cooler months. We also visited a great Italian place that was in a house. Trattoria Nervosa maybe? The nice thing about Toronto is there is plenty to do, and typically a casual walk or subway ride away.
Puros Y Vino
I'll second Trattoria Nervosa in Yorkville. Great food, decent pricing. Visit Mambo Lounge for Cuban food. And right across the street from it is an excellent Brazilian BBQ place called Rodeo. Canoe has some great views of the city and an interesting menu. Do visit the LCDH and have a coffee, rum, etc. While you can't smoke on their patio, you can get away with smoking on the sidewalk in front of the store.
treberty
I personally love Electric Mud - awesome BBQ in Parkdale http://electricmudbbq.com/ The Richmond Station is more central and also an excellent option. A more touristy spot, but totally worth a visit, is the Distillery District. You can find some decent beer at the Mill St. Brewery pub and Balzac Coffee serves a decent espresso. My favourite spot for craft beer (and right downtown) is C'est What? For whisky there's the CC Lounge on Front St. Enjoy.
hedgeybaby
I've now been here 3 months and haven't had a chance to really check the restaurants out yet but I did get taken to Drake150 when my boss was over. The food wasn't that great to be honest, but the place was very buzzy and filled with the beautiful people. I hear good things about Scaramouche and Canoe and they are on mt to do list. The Library Bar at the Royal York Hotel is charming for a few cocktails. Also check out the Cactus Club on Bay or Adelaide, I forget which, but its just round the corner from where I type this. The birds are very hot!! As they are in a pub called Belfast Love. Stay away from Brassrails!!
Hammer Smokin'
CC is on Adelaide. Good eye candy, but very overpriced.
El Hoze
If you like oysters/seafood a strong vote for Rodney’s Oyster. Awesome awesome food, cool people, beer is always flowing. Top notch spot.
