Need help with possible 2016 Lusi purchase

2016 Partagas Lusitania PUR AUG 16 50 cab

It’s an HQ box from  @El Presidente

Just hoping someone can help me decide to buy or not to buy 

I’m trying to find the 24:24 when these were sold so that I can see Robs comments

If you’re into looking at box codes, some of my favorite cigars came from PUR around that time. I would buy with confidence.

It’s a HQ cab so you can buy with confidence and know you are getting a top notch box. I personally find lusi’s to be pretty consistent and they are my favourite DC (at least for now). 50 cabs of lusi’s are certainly something to behold!

I'm sure they're fine.  Go for a dress box instead if you are on the fence.  It is a big purchase.  I'd go for the Hoyo's in a 50 cab if buying newish boxes.  They seem to be nicer nowadays.

Just beautiful Lusitania on Lusitania in cabs of 50. As I have said before, there is something special about ageing tobacco on tobacco. The aroma from the cabs is pungent now and when you open them in three or five or eight years it will be an olfactory experience. I love going through big cabs of that age. Hedonistic.

 

The Lusitania has been a star performer for some time. Quality has been excellent but it is the flavour that continues to bring you back.  It’s medium body provides the perfect canvas for it to unveil its many layers of sponge cake, macchiato, slight sweet peppers, nougat.
