Expand Yes, I was guessing on the year she gave them to me, but I am down to only a few. She inscribed the inside of a box with a birthday note, which makes all the more sentimental...
retrofail Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Great thread! I've also wondered about these. Still don't get how they draw so well but plugged straight sticks are almost commonplace. I guess they're just underfilled?

But they are now sold out

If you compare with any corona (the closest size) they're much lighter. 1

Prior to that, it was June 2015 for 2013/14 production. 3
jay8354 Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 I think I need to smoke my culebras and see how they are doing. Should be ready just in time for end of Oct (shipping, resting).
JLFIRST Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Superb Cigars, period! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Professor Twain Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 They're great. I think they are the most similar in the Partagas line to the old Serie do Con line, my favorites in the Partagas line. 1
ha_banos Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 Do we know anything about the blend? Someone just mentioned second hand that the tobacco is the same as used for grand reserva but not aged. Had my first last month. Which had a boxed date of April 18. So 5 months old. Was very nice if not very very strong tasting. Would have mellowed out very nicely I'd guess over the years!C'mon, who had the secrets and the truth? If anyone knows of any aged stock. Let us know!Cheers,B.Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
BellevilleMXZ Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 I have some, (MSU JUN 17) that I have not tried yet....trying to get 3 smoking friends together is the hard part. 1
Ritch Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 They have been on 2424 three times in the last two months

mt1 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Awesome cigars! Great to share, excellent flavors! I've not come across a bad one yet.
El Presidente Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 In terms of taste, people are generally surprised on the upside. Medium bodied at best. I find them to me light to mid. Gran Reserva? ...no. more: Connie 1 "ish" but a shade lighter on the palate. 1
ha_banos Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 So we can't trust what someone tells us the senior roller told them? Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk 1
Wushy Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 I find them on on the stronger side compared to the cubans I've smoked. They feel funny in the hand and underfilled, but I have yet to have bad draw issues.
