Dmaclv Posted April 30, 2025 Posted April 30, 2025 The Movie Smoke with Harvey Keitel has some good cigar conversations and smoking Montecristo's and Fuente scenes. The one movie I think is the best to smoke a cigar by and has a bunch of cubans being smoked is a movie no one will mention. Seduced and Abandoned with Alec Baldwin and James Toback they smoke in the Harvard Club in New York and all over Cannes France. They are smoking R&J in hotel rooms, yachts, or on terraces while looking for financing for their "make-believe" movie. 1
Bada_Bing_NJ Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 6th day. I believe it's a D6. Even though not movies; Sons of anarchy and of course the Sopranos. 1
Popular Post ATGroom Posted May 1, 2025 Popular Post Posted May 1, 2025 I saw a French movie a few months ago called 'How To Make a Killing' (Un ours dans le Jura). Towards the end of the film the cop thinks that he has solved the crime and to celebrate he orders a "30 euro cigar", which is clearly a Guantanamera Cristales. 1 4

Give it a couple more years, and I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes the new reality. The director or screenwriter might know the market and may be have included Cristales on purpose.

Popular Post Capn_Jackson Posted November 23, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 23, 2025 Haven't seen any activity on this thread in awhile... My wife and I enjoyed the first season of the Ted Danson show Man on the Inside when it came out last year, and just started the second season. We're big Michael Schur fans...the creator and one of the writers for the show, and also a writer on some others including The Office. Anyways, in season 1 of Man on the Inside there is a grumpy old character, played by the always-underrated John Getz, known for enjoying Cuban cigars. I always laugh at, but also resent, the fact that fictional cigar smokers tend to be characterized as grumpy, cantankerous, and old. He fit the bill perfectly! 😄 There is a scene where he goes to a local B&M, to buy Cohibas. Now, obviously in the states you can't walk into a B&M and buy Habanos, but he has a box of NC Cohiba under his arm in the scene. I thought that was a nice subtle wink to the cigar culture. In the first episode of season 2, the character played by the fantastic Gary Cole (Lumbergh from Office Space) is said to be smoking a $100 Cuban. Much more realistic! 🤣. My wife and I were talking about how it's actually refreshing to see some representation of the cigar culture on TV comedies, beyond just someone just randomly smoking a cigar. (She doesn't partake, but appreciates my love for them). So, I was curious if there's any connection between the creative staff of the show and cigars. I know Ted Danson used to be a big cigar smoker, but I thought he quit or at least cut down some time ago. I looked up more on Gary Cole, and found a clip of a scene from Monk. He tells the investigators "I hope you're not here to confiscate my Cubans." Then he holds up a cigar he called "Cubana de Oro, finest cigar in the world." From what I could see, watching on my phone screen, it looked like a dalia or a large panatela. Perhaps it was a LGC Medaille d'Or. If so, not a bad choice to call one of the finest! 5
Popular Post barrygoodvibes Posted November 24, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 24, 2025 My man Roger Moore in his first movie as Bond (Live and Let Die) lights up a gorgeous Montecristo Especial no.1. Roger was a huge Cuban cigar fan. Loved Montecristo. He turned Bond into a cigar smoker from a cigarette smoker when he took over. I also read that he had in his rider that he could have an unlimited supply of Montecristo cigars! Not a movie but the show Tulsa King with Sylvester Stallone (which is a very fun guilty pleasure show) has tons of scenes with him smoking cigars. I saw a D4 and a RASS. I am sure some sleuths can spot more. Insert existing attachment 6
