El Presidente Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I read the below and threw up a little bit in my mouth It’s been quite a start for 2017 for the Cuban cigar industry, thanks to landmark action by the Executive Branch that’s finally removed the limit on importation of Cuban Cigars for personal use. But there’s another reason – Cuban cigars continue to be by far the best in the world, with Habanos SA continuing to roll out great stick after great stick. Some were better than others (Montecristo), however, and I am here to help you whittle down what is a terrific portfolio of Cuban cigars this year into a manageable list. Hopefully, this list will help you decide what’s worth bringing back from Cuba (and more importantly, what’s a good value as well). http://theinscribermag.com/cuban-cigars-2017-montecristo/ 1
BuzzArd Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Maybe they've been getting different ones than you've been getting.... And HUPC? Really? Salt in the wound... 1
Guest Nekhyludov Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Eh, at least some of those aren't bad picks. The PSDs, BBFs, and RASS are choices I can get behind.
JohnS Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Perhaps Nick Ficorelli II should stick to sports writing? What's another word for sycophancy?

MC4 Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Interesting that Upmann PC was at number 9 and is being discontinued.
shlomo Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 ....And yet another who makes the error in associating the Upmann PC with JFK. 3
Santiago Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 This article is so poorly written. Typos, spelling mistakes everywhere. 'they have been rated as one of the most expensive cigars in regular production' 'Rated' one of the most expensive? Who proofread this trash? How could we forget JFK's favorite H Upmann 'Petite' corona
PatrickEwing Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Yikes. To each his own I guess, but have a little pride before you hit publish.
dshapiro Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 who proofreads this shit? wtf is a Romeo Clemenceau?
Stanislaw Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 See, I'm torn here as I'm happy that they aren't writing the usual "non-Cubans are by far better than real Cubans" ridiculousness but damn... then I realized I've read this before, recently in fact... so I checked my browsing history: https://www.jrcigars.com/blending-room/university/top-lists/top-10-best-cuban-cigars/2015/09/22/ now this makes a bit more sense 2
SignalJoe Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 So entire line of Patagas Series D and Behikes...HSA must have made a miraculous turnaround.
Mattygukas Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I have to say some Montes have been really good this year but not the No 2 for me. (They have been meh at best) The Edmundo and Double Edmundos have been great...along with the No 3s I got recently. No Siglos? 1
ChampagneInHand Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 There is much written that should never be published. Two recent internet people with followings are Janes Suckling, his wine reviews have been terrible for years, and now he's a great cigar predicting guru and his compadre at the Havana insider. I just don't get it, but apparently the world is open to suggestion. A great example is reading reviews on any herbal supplements regardless of who ever makes or sells them. The reviews are like religious testimonial and have no basis in reality. Life is subjective and the placebo effect is one if life's most bizarre things to try and grasp. Winchester21 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 What an idiot I just wasted 1minute of my life reading this shit. Montes are for the most part light wrapper garbage on the internet. I have seen a grand total of 4 smokable boxes of Montes this year and I have 3 of them from here. No mention of the Petit Edmundo and the surprise Medio Coronas I bought. No mention of the great Silglos or the Medio Siglo Cohibas I think he copied his ratings from Cigar Afficinado or else the dog ate his notes. My spelling and grammar sucks so. I will leave that part alone?
kinglingcheng Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 all right, cause Monte #2 comes from the same production line with Dilop #2, and quoted ' Monte #2' is one of the best cigars in the world?' damn u right ? plus BHK was involved huge trouble between 14-16, u ain't goona pick BHK in the list right ?
polarbear Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Is there really any difference between this list and CAs top 10?
JR Kipling Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 So he just shagged the whole thing! When I read his 'wisdom' on the HUPC, I stopped. Does the 'writer' even smoke cigars ?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
