El Presidente Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 This year appears to be played in fast forward. Damn...March already. School Sport tomorrow and an old fashioned beach BBQ on Sunday. The type of BBQ where you dig a pit in the sand, collect driftwood, throw over a BBQ plate and throw on some sausages and pork ribs. Glass of wine (for Di), some sugarless crap for me. A bit of fishing instruction in the afternoon. Perfect. 7 days to go before the big lads lunch....not that I am counting let us know what you have planned. Have a cracker weekend all! 3
JohnS Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 I'll be going over my taxes (which I don't want to do...then again, who does?), watching the test cricket from Bangalore to see if Australia can follow-up their win in the 1st test, and rehearsing our band's second set (I think about 13 songs) for Monday night rehearsal. Oh...and even though I'm in on the Fat Bastard Competition, I simply have to have an Old-fashioned or Sazerac this weekend (or both!). 2

valvitalivitch Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Taxes, Zenit vs. CSKA Football match (Soccer for the American lads) at 8:30 AM. Don't you just love it when you live in an entirely different hemisphere and have to wake up at 8:30!!! Thankfully it has become somewhat of a tradition with the lads where we all come to my place and watch the games together, have a few heavies. By lunch we eat (I am the resident chef) and have a couple of sticks. By around 2PM, the Brits begin to play... The cycle repeats... Sunday... the dreaded taxes and a Sir Winston to cheer me up after seeing how much the Government screwed me on taxes. Canada eh! Have a brilliant weekend lads!

Need to get my cars right though, so low priority there. Front end rebuild on the Beetle and some lathe work after. I'll drag my 15yo son along since he's been telling his mom he wants to learn to wrench. No time like the present. think a smoker will get cranked up Sunday. Ready for some pulled pork!!

Air Force Reserve duty this weekend, good thing as they supplemental income will help ease my 24:24 splurge of the last month! ? 1

It is Senior Day, will be emotional and with a win, the Hokies can finish as high as 5th (with some help from a few other teams) in the ACC and will more or less lock up a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 10 years. GO HOKIES!!!

It started out the wife asking to repaint the bathroom now it's me tearing out and replacing the sink,vanity, bowl, cabinets, towel rods. It seems whenever she wants to paint that always leads to a larger job ☺
