Popular Post El Presidente Posted November 10, 2016 Popular Post Posted November 10, 2016 I caught up with Hamlet yesterday...and he was in fine form He picked me up from the hotel....well first he managed to get lost in the hotel. Not sure how one misses the lobby We drove about 15 minutes away on our way to the Casa De Monte Cristo by Prime Cigar & Whiskey Bar. Hammy parked the car and we walked off to locate the bar....but I asked Hammy should the car still be running?. He went back and turned it off. This is one serious cigar bar. The best I have seen. Hamlet pulled out two cigars that he wanted to share with me. He explained that it was the first cigar that he had ever smoked.....as a 13 year old. He laughed as he was telling me the story as to how he felt super cool smoking these along the Malecon Now I have never come across a Partagas Demi Tip before! Discontinued in the 80's and i thoroughly enjoyed this little treat! We had a great afternoon and headed back to his mum and brothers house for dinner. Hamlet got lost on the way 12
Ethernut Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Nice! Time for some FOH LE's I should think! What was your whiskey of choice? Looks like they had a great selection!

zeedubbya Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Very nice gesture by Hamlet indeed. That place is pretty impressive, but for you to say the best you've seen--wow. I'm sure you've been to some pretty awesome cigar spots. I hope you're enjoying your time in the US!
irratebass Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Is that a tsr filter on the cigar? Don't see that often....WOW the booze!!Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk No it is not a filter. It is just a mouthpiece mounted on every single cigar... I have had one in my life and it was special to smoke. Somehow the smoke gets cooler by that little ride through the mouthpiece.

The Partagas Demi Tip was quite popular in Europe in the 70's. You could see these plastic tips on many machine made "dutch" (also called "dry") cigars at this time.

PigFish Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 ... get a 'feel' for US politics while you were here??? -LOL Travel safe and have a nice time. Oh, and don't worry at all! The board is in Ken's capable hands!!! -Piggy 2
SlimOne Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 It must have been impressive. Looks awesome but best without Cubans? Once Cubans are on the self it will undoubtedly be the best.....
LandCruiser Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Surprisingly, we have a cigar bar very similar to this here in Arkansas of all places. It is one of, if not the nicest cigar lounges I have ever been in. Place looks amazing though, enjoy your trip!

archosaur Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Nice bar, and I dig the Demi Tip! I like Hamlet's throwback FOH hat too, I think I still have one somewhere...
