How did any of you survive without the help of the central planners? Musta' been blind luck! Just think about how fortunate you are to have people telling you how to live so you don't hurt yourself...

The brick and mortar stores days are numbered. Soon you will simply buy tobacco (around the tariffs) via conduits to other counties. I cannot even fathom how stupid a concept this is... And people bla

A Diplomáticos Bushido and Cohiba Piramides Extra? Both superlative cigars reduced to looking like ....!

I hope at least they turn out to be a highly enjoyable cigar-smoking experience!

Top ones a PL Encantos. Never had the pleasure of trying one. Luckily that one came off without any damage.

As for the cost, that could be covered.  Cigar manufacturers could band together to fund one central testing facility and organisation whose single purpose would be to gain FDA approval.  This would significantly cut costs to individual manufacturers, IMO.

A notion that's gained a little bit of traction throughout the cigar community here in the US is that the giants like Altadis and General, in some sense actually welcome the FDA's new regulations.  The thought is that they had the financial clout to fight this, and either chose not to, or didn't put forth much of an effort.  Of course those bigger companies have both the resources to comply with the new regulations, as well as large portfolios of existing products that will be grandfathered in, two things most of their competitors do not have.  So from their perspective, it's easy to see the FDA as having done their dirty work and wiped out many of their smaller competitors (to say nothing of Habanos).  So unfortunately, any collaborative effort among manufacturers will probably be missing the ones large enough to actually move the needle.
