The Monte 4 being the most rolled, best selling of all habanos, I guess 2010 was just other years: there are great boxes, decent boxes, and less desirable boxes…

It is a value judgment amigo. Are they more than what is currently being asked for Monte 4s? So what value do you put on 6 years of age for a cigar?

Me, I would pass and buy a box of Rafeal Gonzalez PCs (current vintage) and save about 30 to 40%... There you have it!

I've gone through almost a whole box from 2010. They are very very good cigars. Then again, it's one of the most produced cigars in Cuba so it could be hit or miss. If you can inspect the box before, I'd say go for it. If there's not much premium over regular production and you're buying blind, go for it.
