I have always considered Maxim to be a comic book,no real structure or value in any part of it.

I have no reason to change my appraisal after seeing this article.

That Hansotia is quoted has,if anything, lowered my opinion .................

That reminds me of one of my favorite cigar related videos ever.  I'm sure it's been posted here numerous times, but it deserves a shout in this thread.

I was going to post this if someone else didn't. This is the exact reason I refuse to purchase anything Rocky Patel. Marketing like this just pisses me off lol.

Ive never had someone light a cigar for me like the end of that video. I would think having someone hold the lighter for me would probably cause me to burn my face off somehow.

Care to link us. You know, for science!

As regards CV, I'd say you are not missing out on anything.

OMFG - I had never seen that ad before. Just about the cheesiest cliche-ridden POS I've ever watched... Just - wow.

Many cigar manufacturers, mags, etc. have resorted to T and A to push their products. The "marketers" put on high heels and a shirt 3 sizes too small, suck on a 60 RG, and talk about hints of leather, cedar, chocolate, and cocoa (read from a bad script). It's like watching an athlete act in a TV show or movie. I prefer the posing without the cigar talk.

I don't have to smoke his cigars to enjoy the ad

Thanks for the heads up, I mean warning on Cigar Vixen. Research commencing.

I love that video! "Rocky Patel, a dog whistle for gold diggers. When you really want to impress those hookers your buddy hired."

Can't agree with you there, but to each his own.

If that was a reality, I'd smoke that stuff until my mouth bled....

I choose the ring gauge of the cigar woman #2 is posing with.

I guess when your product is lax you turn to marketing?

I sometimes wish that people like Simon Chase in the UK would spearhead campaigns to argue for mature self regulation. He looks dapper in his peacoat. And he has a British accent.

Love Simon but he has better things to do :D

I have been in several "meetings" with industry (CC and NC heads) regarding the way forward. It is like the meeting of Pirate Kings in "Pirates of the Caribbean". Good luck :rotfl:

I love seeing women smoking cigars with style and grace. But I hate this kind of bimbo cigar marketing. Rocky Patel has made this his stock in trade. He shows up at cigar shops for giveaways with a small army of scantily dressed models. Not appealing.

That said, I don't think this stuff has any impact on how the FDA will regulate cigars.

Why has someone not mentioned this before. I'm disappointed in you lot to be honest.

Rob, clearly you need to market cigars like this. 24:24 with a cigar in shot of a buxom blonde? See if you beat your 6 month record. You need to trial this. For science! :lmao:
