Are you the reason my request for a single box (and my first box) was denied despite sending the email within two minutes of them being posted? 1

planetary Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 I've had examples of MUO MAY 15 which were young (of course) but very good. 1

earthson Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I like them for a change of pace. That buttery, beany, creamy, grassy light citrus is excellent, but not my prefered profile. My wife likes the smell of those and RyJ Churchills the most. As for great, consistent robustos, I have been perpetually wowed by RASS. They don't smoke great in the first year or 2, but afterwards, look out!
Phillys Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Count me in too! I like the Cohiba profile in general, I bought two '12 boxes a few years ago, thought they were great fresh. Fast forward 4 years and they are starting to change a bit (for the better). Can't wait to see what they will be like down the road.
Trigga Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Have few questions about the release of the CoRo. So as everyone knows, there's a bit of a Cohiba drought now. Another thing I've noticed with Cohiba, is that normally it's much harder to find anything older than a 1 year old box. Does anyone know if we will see more CoRo in 2016? Also, when do you think the last date that we'll see 2015 box codes will be? Could 2016 begin coming out as early as this fall, or would it not be until 2017 that we see the 2016 boxes? Trying to gauge if I've still got more time left this year for 2015 CoRo to come out so as to have some extra 2015's while they're around.

CoRo which Rob featured in 24:24 on June 20th had box codes of January 2016. Also, I did a little number crunching a while ago and found that, on average, product in 24:24 is sold with 9 months of age. For product in short supply, I think it's closer to 5-7 months, and can even be a bit faster from time to time. 1

wade1979 Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Just finishing up a AGO ENE 11 from the PCC vintage program. One hour of pure pleasure and relaxation. Might have to do review, but I'm too damn relaxed to find the motivation. Such a great smoke with honey and rum in the first third followed by mellow toasted tobacco. My first aged CoRo and very happy I snagged a few boxes from 24:24 a few weeks back. 3
strikethebox7 Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Sit back and enjoy it that aged CORO! But when you get the time, would be interested to a get a review. I have a box of SUE June 15 taking a long nap, and the suspense is already killing me. Might have to grab some from the PCC vintage program to hold me over. Of course only if I'm lucky. Those go quick. Nice Grab! 2
Johanski Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Going to buy a box of coros blind since i cant stay up every night and watch the 24:24 what boxcodes should i look after? 1

I am a big fan of the Siglo series, yet I've found the Cohiba Robusto of a slightly better quality lately. Love the siglo IV and VI and haven't have any problems with quality but just had a CoRo last night and was not disappointed. 1
tengel78 Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 You all are a bad influence. haha. The only Cohiba I've had so far is the Siglo IV and I love it. Now I have to put the CORO on my wish list..
garbandz Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 has always been a special occasion cigar for me, but nearly out of reach now,,,,,,,
PigFish Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 I smoke very few robustos and typically only 42 ring and under Cohibas. Therefore i am not a Cohiba Robusto fan. For some reason the blending of Cohiba cigars does not lend itself to larger ring cigars (MHO). My last box of robustos is from '04 and gave more away than smoked myself. In fairness to this cigar, I don't smoke the RASS or the SD4 either. For years I bought these cigars and tried and tried again. Then I stopped attempting to make the tastes of others align with mine and simply went my own way... -Piggy 2
Mattygukas Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Love them and recently, they smoke well young! I had one the other day that was near perfect at just under two years! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think it's easy to get on the bandwagon when you first start with all of the popular cigars. It can really bias you if you aren't careful. I know it happened to me. I was smoking all of the popular picks and only found a couple that I actually enjoyed. I've now taken the path to enlightenment and started picking cigars that sounded appealing to me not just based off of the "hottest" cigars right now. 1
PigFish Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 There is noting wrong with 'aligned' tastes. Everyone's tastes align with some others, somewhere. My point was that there was a period of time that I continued to try cigars proven not to align with me. Understanding that tastes are smoker dependent was part of my post, keeping within the realm of the OP question. Me, I would prefer a PC over a robusto, typically but that is another topic. I wanted to indicate that I was not really segregating the Cobiba Robusto, but that it held a position of less favor, just like other popular or lesser so, robustos. Cheers! -Piggy
dageshi Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I just don't "get" CoRo's unfortunately. In fairness I guess I've not had a massive range from different boxes but the ones I've had were... ok? Even had some 10 year old ones and again.... ok? But I think I'd rather have a good upman magnum 50 any day of the week and they're a lot cheaper and easier to get ahold of!

Guest Robusto 107 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Coro's still staying my no.1 and 2nd will be RASS. No matter instant kill or aging are very good
