Popular Post El Presidente Posted June 8, 2016 Popular Post Posted June 8, 2016 To give a "toss" in the Oz vernacular is to actually care Well, I actually give a TOS and I am referring to the TOS code which is from everything that I have seen to date in 2016, the standout box code. Ehile I am not a box code chaser (I look at the cigars and when I get a good run, I flip the box over to look at the code) I have seen precious few poor cigars bearing the TOS code. The best Dips I have seen (and tasted)....TOS The best Magicos I have seen (ever)....TOS Cuaba Salomones perfection....TOS Partagas P2 stunner .....TOS and it goes on and on. it is not the wrappers as even with TOS, there can be a few shaky moments there albeit few. However the construction is top shelf. So if you are purchasing blind from another vendor or picking up boxes at a B&M in Havana or elsewhere, you could do far worse than to have a look for a TOS code. At least SEP 15 to March 16. Just a heads up 8
OZCUBAN Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Good onya mate we know that you do give a TOS wished I'd jumped on those Dips now, let's just see how this TOS vein runs out and what gems it produces ,watch this space I reckon ...... cheers
JohnS Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Cheers, that's great to know El Pres. Those TOS Diplomáticos No.2's were sold out in 20 minutes today. I hope to look forward to more quality TOS offerings on upcoming 24:24 sales.
ElReyDel757 Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 They all have such beautiful sheen, so chocalately. I'm so upset I missed the Dip 2's yesterday. Hopefully the HQ on Monday are very similar prez? I know usually not much difference to the untrained eye between PSP & HQ.
losttrailer Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 TOS Sep 15 is the code of the most beautifull Divinos i have ever seen, look exactly like the Distinguidos pictured above.
planetary Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Do we have any idea which factory TOS refers to? Apparently, it's not El Laguito, the code for which recently changed from MUO to something else, if reports are to be believed.
ElReyDel757 Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 My question is, are those ready to smoke after the 30 day rest period, or are they too "wet"? Again, the sheen & chocolate appearance make me salivate, don't think I have the patience to age them.

Not sure which sticks you're talking about, but far as the Dip 2s go, I recently received a box of TOS DIC 15 -- so just about 6 months of age -- and smoked my first stick after only 2 weeks' rest in the humidor (64 deg F and 62% RH). It was terrific. I'm thinking I should have bought 2 more PSP boxes yesterday. 1

My experience with Rob's PSP level cigars is that they need far more than a month to be ready to smoke. However, I always try one at about a month after delivery. From memory I have PSP PSD4, Monte 2, SCDLH La Fuerza, Upmann 2, Upmann Petit Corona, HdM Epi 2, RA EL 2015 and Connie A. With exception of the RA EL 2015 all were muted at the 30-60 day mark. After 6+ months I feel most were acclimated and smoking like they should.

My best educated guess from what I've put together so far is below, just an educated guess based off of boxes I've received and box code lists I've checked out. I've heard Cuaba Salomones are rolled at La Corona. In addition Bushidos codes were EML and TOS, and I've heard a rumor from a couple sources a roller Ernest Torres at La Corona either watches and trains and/or rolls the 109 Vitola. Could all be way off base I'll admit, but it's something at least somewhat interesting? EML was top scoring code last year according to data from 24:24s compliled by another member here and Planetary. Old Code New Code Factory MUO AMO El Laguito EML TOS La Corona ULA ETP (Temp?)Partagas RAE LAU El ReyDel Mundo LUB MEG H Upmann 4
Jeremy Festa Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Aaaaand....TOS in Queenslander lingo means The Other Side as in South Stradbroke Island or Double Island Point. Or in this case the actual location of the boxcode. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

zeedubbya Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 So I got this box today, and TOSsed them next to another box from same code and I have to say the resemblance is uncanny. Smell is very similar as well. This code is a rockstar in the making! 2
wade1979 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Just pulled out a PSP Dip 2 TOS DIC 15 and the wrappers seem almost like wrapper you would find on a LE. In fact almost identical to the PSP MAG 56. The deep sheen on these are incredible. Now off to smoke one.

jimsta10 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Give the TOS'ers a gold metal. Must be doing something right.
