I know we are still waiting on all the Bushidos to be released, but has there been any information on these? Seeing as the are about to start releasing some of the 2016 regional releases in other countries.

Smoking one over the weekend.

Will post a photo and a review. Still a few weeks away from release. Pricing to hand likely late next week.

No waiting lists being taken . I will just put them up on 24:24 when available.

I hope that this will be on either a Monday or a Friday. Otherwise I'll have to walk in front of a driving bus.....unsure.png

I am not a large rg fan but I am a big fan of LGC, so I will have to get a box................or 3 peace.gif

Heck, Cohiba is supposed to release 2 commemorative cigars for 2016, a 58rg and a 60rg

Another one I won't need to buy. Also another RE release in boxes of only 20 (likely for the price of 25).

The end of the world is nigh. Way too big. Way too expensive. rolleyes.gif

Step 1. let's see if it is an average, good or great cigar and the tasting of my singles tomorrow won't determine that. It will need a few more than that by a few people from different boxes.

Step 2. let's see the price.

Taking a glass half full stand. If HSA is not going to do anything with La Gloria Cubana then it is good to see that the distributors will chance their arm. LGC is not a big brand in most of Asia/Pacific. Rolling the dice on a cervantes (or similar) LGC Regional may have been a risk just a little too far (for this region).

Yeah, I've noticed this too, creeping into more new releases. Seems pretty cheeky to me.

Fair point, Rob - I would say the same with Diplomaticos in the last couple of years (finally getting a few REs that seem to all be very popular, after nearly discontinuing the entire regular production range).

I know I'll want to try one of these to give it a punt no matter what, but price is the determinant for me as to whether I'll be picking up boxes.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts after this weekend!

Chris,

I know PCC would be disapointed regarding the Bushido release. As of a few weeks ago there were still some 600 boxes (or thereabouts) to be received to meet their 2000 box pre purchase.

What they wouldn't be disappointed with would be the market reception. Each of those remaining 600 boxes are spoken for. We will receive an allocation but who knows how many.

People screamed at the pricepoint. Those same cigars are going for double the PCC RRP in parts of our region. Flippers would be going gangbusters but are hamstrung because of sale per person limitations. If we received 150 boxes today they would be gone tomorrow.

It honestly blows my mind how these boxes can already be flipped for double the price. They are good cigars, even very good, but that's just sad. I'd be flipping all day long if I had any :P

I'm really interested to see what price the LGC Revolution will be set at. I will most likely never smoke a Bushido because I refuse to pay that much.

In my admittedly somewhat limited experience if the LGC is even remotely close to the Bushidos then I would buy as many as i could to put up. I have had two Bushidos to date and can tell you if I am able to secure a box they most assuredly won't be flipped. Even at triple the price I wouldn't flip my box. I really really like them. Best cigar I've ever had...period. From our discourse I'm guessing Rob has half a mind to never speak to me again because of my unrelenting quest for a box! He's been extremely patient with my pestering. Fingers crossed.

I'll probably just yolo a purchase if I can snag a box during a 24:24

Even though the quality wasn't determined by your singles, I am sure there are many who would love to know how those singles performed.

If not many, I would love to know. I am not a fan of the size, but find the Wide Churchill too good to pass up.

If they are anything like the Inmensos, they'll be an easy pass. I haven't had many bad REs or even average ones. Most of them have been stellar.
