The Chinese have been raising the ire of the Thai's lately.. they were forced to use Chinese only toilets at the white temple in Chang Rai, they have been banned from driving caravans into the Kingdom recently.. I guess a buffet ban is likely on the horizon.

That's what it's like at every baggage carousel. Pushing and shoving like it is absolutely necessary to stand 2 inches away from the carousel.

Last time I came back from Malaysia in February, some idiot decided he wanted to stand right in front of me at the carousel. Being on business class, my bags of course came down the line first. So when I had to push past him to grab my bag, I took great pleasure in swinging it around and cracking him right in the plums.

fuzz, a while back, i'm waiting with about a foot between me and the carousel. a guy shoves in. could not believe it. then realised it was a member of our house of reps. an absolute tosser - no names and hard to narrow it down - who had recently been in the paper for drunkeness and inappropriate behaviour. i shoved in front of him. he suggested i f off and tried to shove back. i said i would belt him if he moved (seriously, i could not beat the proverbial egg but he was older, even less fit and i would have enjoyed it) but i also asked him who was likely to be on the front page - a complete unknown or the moron who was on it a few weeks ago? he moved back.

I will never understand the stupidity of some people at the carousels. At the end of a long flight, the last thing I'd want to be doing in standing right up against the carousel, shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of people, swinging 20kg bags of luggage.
