Wow, TOTAL shocking news. I really respected him and his acting talents. In "Michael Collins" with Liam Neeson, he was monumental as Eamon de Valera, one of the leaders in the fight for Irish independence. A truly sad loss. RIP, Alan flower.gif

So sad what a talent RIP Alan

His villain in Die Hard was incomparable.

He was indeed. Jeremy Irons was not as unscrupulously menacing (in the series). Great actor...RIP.

The Real Reason Behind Alan Rickman's Shocked Face In Die Hard

Here’s a little-known fact about Alan Rickman in Die Hard: For his character’s final scene, he agreed to fall onto an airbag 8 metres below on the count of three. Except the director and the stunt people thought they would get a better reaction if they dropped him on the count of “one.” They were right. His face is priceless.

This story was originally posted in December 2014, but we’ve re-shared it in fond memory of Alan Rickman.

In this list of seven things you didn’t know about Die Hard, you can skip to 4:10 for the fascinating fact about Rickman’s final scene.

Very sad, one of the very best villains, he was just about the only redeeming feature of Costner's version of Robin Hood. Also loved him in the comedic role in Galaxy Quest.
