dangolf18 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Damn! where the hell are you getting the 18 that cheap!? I usually see it for $96-$98, mid $80s on sale. Costco of course Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
ElAbogado Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I didn't know Costco had high end Scotch. Awesome! Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk

LateApex Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 As a scotch newbie, this is a great thread. Thanks for the intel guys! 1
JWBurns Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 One thing that really helped my foray into Scotch was to attend a scotch tasting. If you have a Total Wine or Specs in your city, they hold classes often. I really like Macallan 10 and 15 and for a sweeter scotch I love Glennorangie Nectar D'Or.
FF183 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 My go to Scotch has always been Macallan 15 and during a recent tour of the distillary in Scotland I treated myself to a bottle of 21 year. I have recently been introduced to Aberfeldy 12 and this stuff was amazing, and with a price of less than $50 a bottle Canadian, is my new go to Scotch!
oesman Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Dalwhinnie 15!!! I'll second that, the Dalwhinnie 15 is IMO very very well priced for what it is. I always have a bottle kicking around somewhere in my stash. 3
puro Posted January 7, 2016 Author Posted January 7, 2016 grabbed this yesterday aberlour 12 and a sampler off a mate
cris77 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Under 80 I would pick Ancnoc Glenmorangie 10 Strathisla Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk 1
Popular Post LLC Posted January 26, 2016 Popular Post Posted January 26, 2016 Decided to pick one up to give it a try. 5
creamypies Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 A very complex dram and not for a beginners palate, The Springbank 15 is something to savor. It's nothing like it's younger 12 year old sibling and I'd say tastier than it's 18 yo sibling. The 15 can be had for $100. Everything that Glendronach distills is also absolute magic and if you want something sweet, smooth, and less complicated the Aberlour 16 never fails to please. I'd avoid the 12 however.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
WhiteMamba Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I'm a fan of Caol Ila it's an Islay but it is definitely one of the lighter ones.
foursite12 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Highland Park 10 year old Great price performer!
foursite12 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Decided to pick one up to give it a try. Working through a bottle of this now. Elegant, with some complexity including a subtle vanilla note. A finish that goes on and on. 1
sengjc Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Careful, it's a very slippery slope, and a long one too. 1
morganti Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 The Dalmore is really good. Just picked up a bottle. Others: Glenrothes - Great value Glenlivit
agentdaffy007 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 My personal favourite is the Macallan Amber. The smoothest scotch i have ever tasted and i have tasted a lot!! For more spice, go with Glenfarclas 15! So sweet with a bit of spice.
ElAbogado Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Glennorangie Nectar D'Or. I was going to add this one. I have a bottle of the 18 as well, but I personally enjoy the Nectar D'Or more... add in the better price and it's a nor brainer!
