At some point I started keeping them and now have quite the stack of empty boxes. I am getting ready to move next month and have been throwing all kinds of stuff into the trash that I don't use anymore or have no need for and those boxes have made the list. Before giving them a sendoff into a dumpster I thought I would ask what everybody else does with the boxes. Do you keep them or toss them? If you keep them what do you do with them?

I usually put mine in the fire pit, or give them to anyone who wants them. Some people like to use them as wall decorations, and I've actually seen someone who used them for a table...pretty cool, I am just not that clever.

I always keep boxes and will end up giving them away. They are too pretty not to. Do you have any Double Corrona Cabs you are going to toss? I have been thinking of posting asking if anyone had one. I have a stack of DCs singles I would like to consolidate.

I often give my boxes to relatives in gifts (if it's a small item or series of items). My family also enjoys using them to hold miscellaneous items around the house. I think it's cool to see all my old boxes around the garage or workspace and people seem to enjoy it.

Put an add out on the free things section of Craigslist. Sure some crafty person would love you for donating them. Wonder if a scout pack would take them for a craft?

Scouts love 'em! Cigar boxes make great project boxes fr both boy and girl scouts. Look up a scout troop and offer them the boxes.

Interesting ideas...I have way too many. Definitely going to hang on to the "rarer" boxes, but might purge the rest. I already use a few as desk organizers.

Empty cigar boxes? Hmmm...I haven't put much thought into keeping or discarding them, other than I've tended to keep the varnished boxes for some reason! jester.gif

They have served well in my work toolbox for holding everything from drill bits to the myriad of coax connectors I need to keep on hand.

Recently I lined a few (varnished and SLB's) with wax paper and filled them with Christmas cookies we had made and gave them out as gifts. My friends loved them, and the cookies did not taste of cigars.

I love these! I'm in need of a new watch box as well, will definitely be giving this a shot with my next empty box.

I've see quite a few people doing this so I thought I'd give it a shot.

That is definitely something for the man cave!!!

I work at a cigar shop on occasion and like to give the odd box to people who have kids. Amazing how much value a simple empty cigar box has to a kid!

Give one to the Wife unit to put it in her nightstand drawer, use it as a storage solution for all those "adult" electronic and/or silicone companions. The tongue-in-cheek aspect of using a cigar box for that is priceless.

Now - whether you use a petit coronas box or an A's box, that's a debate for another day!
