So how many of you are really into both vices, wine and cigars? How many of you have cellars? I love a good stick with a wine, and spend as much time trying to pair the two as I would pair wine with food. I'm probably a bit more overboard on wine than cigars.... and I've enjoyed how Ken frequently brings the two together.

So how about it? Good Shiraz with a stogie? I had Mollydooker Velvet Glove with a Connie A the other day.... very enjoyable.

Nice wine room. I like wine but my wife is a lot more passionite about it. We to have a walk in wine cellar. Half is cigars half is wine. Not as impressive as yours though.

wine makes cigars more enjoyable for the women you share your life with, too.

I alternate between beer and a glass of Cabernet Sauvigon with a cigar. But, do you have any other recommendations to pair with the fuller cigars?

I don't care for wine and cigars (unless ports, moscato, late harvest, ice wine, etc). I mostly drink wine with food... otherwise, whites when I just want something to wet the palate, and reds when I'm out and not being picky. The tannic and earthy qualities of my preferred red wines compete with cigars... and dries out the palate. When I smoke, I don't want competition. I also feel that many have the misconception that higher alcohol content automatically equates with a dominating flavor profile. Flavor is not the same as strength/body... as with cigars.

Very impressive cigarbigboy! I don't know much about wine, and that is another vice/hobby I don't need heh...now with that being said I do like to pair cigars with grape juice & apple juice, so who knows, maybe you are on to something here wink.png

Like with wine pairing, you want a strong flavor with a strong flavor, not allowing the more subtle taste to be dominated. Tempernillo, some Grenaches or Rhone wines, even a peppery shiraz like E and E Black Pepper go well with stronger cigars, in my mind.

I love pairing a cigar with cab or other red. Not a fan of port or desert wine. Nice set up you have there.
