El Presidente Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I absolutely love the HSA wordsmiths. From the copy on their website to their newsletters to the pure comedy (unintended) genius of the Masters of Ceremomy at Festival and Partagas dinners. ......it is so bad.....it is good. Genius
kuma Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I think I have it. This cigar covers most of the tastes I like; woody, dry and above all sweet. Now if the price point is right I may take a shot at them. They are a great size for us poor sob.'s who will be fighting the sub-zero weather in a month or two. Cigars that are short in length (5" - 6") with a RG of say 44 or more are ideal for this weather. Going from house to car to filling gas tank up and exposing the cigar for just a minute or two as you open and close your car door sends the poor cigar into shock. Spring can't come fast enough although we are now having high 60's to low 70's this week which means we still can smoke the loooong skinnies, who said there is no GOD!
SofaKing Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I agree on the wood and dry tobacco however I don't find any sweetness in these (smoked 3). Enjoy the next few days cause it's about to go back to this weekends freeze fest.
CigSid Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I will see if I can Keep on Aweing after I smoke one...
Smallclub Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 What's the verb "Aweing" supposed to mean? How can a cigar be "dry" and "sweet" at the same time? Sounds like a "demi sec and brut " champagne…
El Presidente Posted October 21, 2015 Author Posted October 21, 2015 What's the verb "Aweing" supposed to mean? It is a new "Limited Edition" verb 1
Smallclub Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 It is a new "Limited Edition" verb Oh I see, it's a verb that went through a third maturation? Or a maduro verb? 1
Lotusguy Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I am so going to put that word in my daily vocabulary
Guest rob Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Sounds like the same people who write whisky tasting notes. At least the whisky comes out on schedule.
Jeremy Festa Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Sounds like the same people who write whisky tasting notes. At least the whisky comes out on schedule. Exactly. And if the notes are not spot on it's because they were "sampling." Sent from my iPhone
Bill Hayes Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Looks like someone's been using an online translator. It would be interesting if it was translated to Spanish to see if it makes sense. Unfortunately I only hablar espanol poco. Grande cervasa perfabor!
ayepatz Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Reminds me of that John Wayne story... During rehearsals for The Greatest Story Ever Told, The Duke, playing the Roman soldier who speared Jesus on the cross, said rather flatly: Truly, this man was the son of God. George Stevens, the director, said: Not like that, say it with awe! Obligingly Wayne repeated his line: Aw, truly, this man was the son of God. 2
