Probably mild-medium smaller cigars. Would want the iconic Cuban that fits that profile. Also buying samplers makes me nervous, I like to have the whole box so I can inspect.

My first box was Bolivar Petite Coronas. Slightly stronger than some which was nice coming from NC cigars. Lovely flavor profile, bit of that cream and spice with a touch of twang giving you a nice Cuban experience. Inexpensive too, so I didn't feel like I was dropping too much money. With my limited experience I would recommend them as a good beginner box since it worked well for me. Not sure if I would say they are a "classic" Cuban box but I felt very satisfied with them.

Try a sampler be for you commit to a single box. Now comes the hard part. Let them a climate in your humidor, 3-06 months at least. The longer you wait the better they will taste. Once the wait is over you have 8-10 different cigars to rate vs 1 box of the same cigar.

I have a box of partagas Mille Fleurs, I'm definitely a beginner, What should I consider for my next purchase? What is the classic Cuban box?

Buy one box of each and then go from there.

are you new to the hobby or just new to cubans? if you are used to smoking pepper bombs something lighter may dissuade from cubans. i would go with what broke me into habanos, bolivar pcs, they have been consistent and deliver everything. if you don't like them you won't have invested too much money and i am sure you'd be able to find a few people to take them off your hands

If you don't mind me asking, why would buying singles/samplers make you nervous? And what about a whole box do you feel needs inspecting?

FYI, anything (singles & boxes) purchased from our host is inspected as well or better than any other vendor in the world would or could. And the single sticks and samplers are priced very competitively.

If you are new to Cuban cigars or premium cigars in general then I'm afraid you're going to have to give us a little more information about your palate. You'll really have to try at least one cigar from all the world-wide brands and see what you like. Until then, I suppose my only suggestion in terms of the "classic Cuban box" you describe would be the Montecristo #4, the world's best selling Cuban Cigar.

I would get Rob's New-ish to CC sampler. It porvides a wide range of experiences so you can better understand what marcas provide what and what you like.

No doubt. Work your way through a sampler first and track your own personal ranking. Then order a box or boxes of what you liked and another sampler.

Sampler it up. I would give the same advice whether talking about Nc's or Cc's. Variety is better than going in on a box IMO....

the two that got my hooked were fonseca #1 and Monte #4

But yeah agree that the sampler be your best bet - Or you could do what others do (including me) you read the reviews here and bite the bullet and get a box when the 24:24 on ;)

Regarding the recommendation to try a Bolivar Belicosos Finos. To the OP: Since you refer to yourself as a beginner, please be aware that the BBF is a strong and powerful smoke. You may wish to start this journey not quite so close to that end of the scale so that you can learn to appreciate the nuances of a variety of cigars without having to deal with a cigar that can easily overpower a novice and spoil the experience. You can kick it up a notch over time--that's part of the enjoyment of this thing. Just my $.02.
