It is a joke!! yep, i remember when i was there, same thing. but the guys selling were quite friendly and when challenged, openly admitted it and were happy for me to photograph both them and the smokes.

Yes Ken. Everyone is accommodating and happy. I had an 1.5 hr massage for 30.00usd. Great country.

When I asked to examine them, I was told no. Never mind they were in a Portages box. Plus $40 for a Monte 4? We made a stop on a cruise in Costa Maya, I was floored with all the fakes in glass tops and bundles. Saw several people from the ship buying and then saw them smoking on deck while I smoke the real deal from El Prez. Prices were unreal for those fakes. Going diving again this November in Bonaire. Will make the rounds to see whats new.
