Fixing to head out for an afternoon of target shooting with a bunch of friends. This evening we'll be grilling steaks before the big fireworks show in town. I've already got a BHK 56 set aside for this evening. And much beer will be consumed today. I've been off work since the 1st and not going back until the 13th. It's my Independence Day vacation! :)

Cheers,

Greg

Friends visiting this weekend. Showing them the city. Smoking a pork shoulder overnight! Gonna light up a Punch Punch later.

Chicago has to be pretty interesting this weekend with 100,000 hippies in town!

Cigars and rum in the afternoon, Italian cuisine and wines for dinner and into the evening...will probably smoke another cigar or two before calling it a day.

I'm celebrating by remembering those who serve/d and building a garage work bench. Almost done. Has an easy quick connect to put up my miter saw and/or my drill press and has two chocks to hold material on either side of saw. Pull out the lag bolts and pull off the equipment and store it and your back to a flat surface...,,reasonable so as I am NO carpenter. I have plans to build a standing desk for my home office where I spend the regular work day now to offset the time I spend sitting at my main desk. Wanted a sturdy surface to out the saw before I started cutting material and while I could have picked up a universal miter saw stand, they are only good for that one thing, I like things to multitask.

Golfed, took a nap, had leftovers.

Been on a liquid diet for the last 5 hours. Enjoyed a partagas short, padron 1926 Churchill and finishing the evening of with a ryj de lex le.

Also enjoying the neighbors fireworks show. And the professional show a ways out from the comfort of my porch.

The English are a rather bitter lot, aren't they? Sour grapes and all that.

Pip pip!

As Rob would say: "I had a cracker weekend." I drank plenty of booze, and ate too much.Spent the days recovering at the beach with my wife and dog. In the evening we gathered at a friends roof top balcony to watch fireworks. Great food, great friends, and smoked a few PSP HUHC.

Yep. We had a pretty solid day. Got some pics from the range time... never a bad day when you get to play with NFA toys. :)

Cheers,

Greg

Wow. No idea why TapaTalk spammed all the pics... but it was a good time nonetheless. :)

Looks like you spent just a little brass there man!

Had a great day. Pulled pork, ribs, slaw, beans, corn, beers and Bourbon, great cigars with good friends. And apple pie!

Lots of pyrotechnics around, our state just re-legalized explosive and launchable fireworks so obviously many took advantage mob.gif

Picked up Jefferson's Reserve Bourbon, Samuel Adam's Rebel IPA and Anchor Liberty Ale for the libations....seemed appropriate.
