That second band looks like the anejos band style... most hideous looking band ever i reckon. I wonder what target group they used to pick that band.

I am looking forward to these though. I think i will like them.

I like the brown & gold version of the "Serie" style bands, but don't think they needed both.

I've read that they have been seen and photographed only in Cuba at the factories, but not yet surfaced in any LCDH yet

I'm guessing that they are from the infamous "El Vomito" design team in Havana. Also responsible for the Cuaba, San Cristobal and Vegas Robaina bands and packaging.

Interesting, anybody know anything about these? Are they Cuban factory aged or recent harvest?

Just what the world needed - since the Maduro 5 was such a roaring success and the cigars taste so great

Cigarslover just posted a picture of what seems to be Partagas Maduro No. 1. Have been waiting for this release and to read some reviews.

Anyone got more information?

52 ring gauge by 130 mm (5.1 inches). Habanos Specialist Exclusive 2015 release.

I appreciate this link, and I like Nino's blog, always informative and entertaining!

Just smoked a few of these in Cuba that were handed out at the events. The last few I had were about 6 mos ago and I must say these have settled quite a bit. Nowhere near as punchy and much more approachable now. Medium + at their strongest now. I think these still have many years before really developing but I think they ultimately will. I rated the ones I just had at 92-93 points right now.

The initial releases are getting very hard to find. Almost all boxes have been bought up in Cuba. As this is a Habanos Specialist release there will hopefully be more coming at some point but get them now if you can.

I'd be interested in trying these. Rarely seem to see them available, and usually a bit pricey when I do.

Prez had them up on 24 quite a bit in June and July. I was very tempted at first but held off. They almost always seemed to never sell out from what I saw on 24. He put some clearance ones up that had a lighter wrapper at a very very good price.
If he put some good boxes up again at a great price I would probably jump on them!!

Yes, I never thought this cigar was really doing well until I spoke to several sources in Cuba and my LCDH contacts outside of Cuba (one of whom I was there with) and these PM1s are being scooped up like no tomorrow at the moment. I know someone who sells a lot in Asia scooped up 20-25 boxes and had to go to about 8 LCDHs he has connections at to do it. He even got them to part with boxes they didn't want to part with. I found out that there is huge worldwide demand for these right now. Perhaps these becoming more approachable recently has spurred those to buy.

If anyone's in Cuba in the next few weeks and wants some at $220 a box I know where there's one or two kicking around but that's about it, at least in Havana and you'll have to drop my name to get even that one or two. They are not being given up to just any Joe that walks in.
