Hey mate. Welcome to the forums. Throw up an introduction in the intro section.

If you trust the storage and the source, go for it. I find them a bit too mild at that age though. Still quite nice but you gotta pay attention. That being said i'm not an aged cigar fan in general, i prefer 2-5 years of age and that's about all i'm willing to go for.

Ahh... just ignore me then... everyone else does rotfl.gif

But yeah on the cigar, if they'll let you buy a single then try it out i guess, that's a good idea! ok.gif

I asked and they want to sell the complete box. It's a big high street name so I guess I'll just have to give it a go.

I have never had a RASS that was 12 years old. Supose I will know shortly if they age well or not :)

Check out the code on the bottom first.

Personally I find it odd they won't let you smoke one from the box (on condition of buying the entire box if they are good).

What 'high street' brandname is this?

======== EDITED ========

I specifically ask, since high street to me means full market price, which is fine, provided one gets to try the merchandise. Especially for boxes like a 2003 RASS it can very well be worth paying full market price, provided you're assured of a quality product.

Since the box is always somewhat of a surprise, I believe in try before you buy in these cases. So far, most high street vendors have let me try before I buy...

Not surprised they won't let you smoke one, if I was trying to sell a full box I'd say the same thing. For sure you need to be able to open the box to inspect the cigars. If they look good and feel good I'd grab them. As others have said if they aren't to your taste I don't think you'd have any trouble selling or trading them.

I bought two cabs of 2007 and they are amazing. Not showing ANY indication of being past their peak. Better every time I smoke one. If the price was right I would jump on these in a heartbeat.

No experience with Rass of that age but I, for one, would want to try one before buying a box. I am always curious as to why the box would still be available if it's not part of a specific aging program. I guess I just don't think I'm that lucky!
