mk05 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 If someone in Paris could relay a box of chocolates (really, chocolates) from Paris for me, I'd be really grateful! Please PM
Habana Mike Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Paris over Belgium? Which chocolates I must ask.
PapaDisco Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Paris over Belgium? Which chocolates I must ask. Excellent point! I'll be there in August if you're still desperate then, let me know.
jgnome Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 La Maison du Chocolat delivers just about anywhere in the world. In my opinion, they are one of the top three anywhere. Relaying can be so disappointing. 1
mk05 Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 I've had all the chocolates to try; just looking to get a particular make from Paris.
dangolf18 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I know you said Paris, but these are some of the best from France but from St Remy de Provence. They'll ship to the U.S. http://www.joeldurand-chocolatier.fr
mk05 Posted June 25, 2015 Author Posted June 25, 2015 Apparently, the quality of the chocolate is so awe inspiring, the angels themselves make a weekly sojourn to sample the store's goods (and why they are so chubby). Allegedly, the long transit over degrades the gooey delishousness to a level of mediocrity that the proprietor finds unacceptable. Therefore, he simply refuses to ship his goods. Snob appeal to the max. He's got me hook, line, and sinker. I'm sure next week he will change his mind due to my passion, and he will, "do this one time favor for me at 100EU shipping on top of a purchase of 500EU or more." Lol 1
Habana Mike Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 So, still not telling which Chocolatier imbibes such passion and desire? Wanting to avoid a run on them? 1
mk05 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 Where is smallclub? I thought he lives in Paris.
Habana Mike Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 OK, guessing Richart Committed to quality, the French chocolate-maker Richart guarantees you the most refined chocolates from the most refined ingredients. Richart recipes, developed and tested by the Richart family, have won France’s most prestigious confectioner’s honor, the Ruban Bleu, seven times. Having perfected the art of chocolate making, Richart now focuses on enhanced flavors and distinctive designs and colors. A box of assorted chocolates is visually stunning. I imagine you're looking to acquire the Burlwood vault with seven drawers of chocolate — complete with temperature and humidity gauges. Plot thickening.....
mk05 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 I've had the Richart and La Maison before. They're ok. LOL - I just need these specific ones.
mk05 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 My friend's wife. He thought we could open the box with a bottle of Burgundy...two hours later she came back and yelled at us about how it was a present for her mother. I need to replace the box. 1
... Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Well, no need to be mysterious about it. We all f**k up at one point or another, much so when alcohol is involved. Best of luck in your endeavour!

bugg4672 Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Sounds like that chocolate is a better grade than my M&M's.
Cornell Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Never seen a bunch of guys talk about chocolate this deep LOL!! 2
DBNInc Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Which chocolate shop were you talking about? I'm making a trip soon and am putting together an itinerary

I'm making a trip soon and am putting together an itinerary I think you just revived a thread from 2015, so he's probably resolved this already. However, I'll be in Paris shortly and I'd love to try these. Perhaps @mk05 will clue us in.
Isaac Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I feel like the identity of this chocolate maker is filed next to the true purpose of Area 51 in the states.

If you believe the identity of a talented chocolate (or any delicacy) maker can be kept secret in France, then you have a lot to learn about France and French people… 2

Yea, I'm assuming it's been resolved, I was just searching the forum for spots in Paris and came upon this thread. After reading it through, I now need to know which shop it was lol

I'll take any suggestions though
