A little shorter than a Partagas Serie D No.5. Is it similar in flavour profile to the Juan Lopez No.2?

I apologize for taking this somewhat off track but I have been searching the forum and other for cigar prices in Portugal.

Do you or anyone else have any knowledge of prices there?

probably should have started a new thread. Especially for the big 100th post!!! Ha Ha

I can't remember exactly but nothing was really a bargain...that's the reason why I only picked up these Chiados.

If I am not wrong sinve 2015 or 2016 Portuguese vendors cannot sell online anymore or at least send cigars abroad. Not sure if they will provide a table price by email If you ask.

That is correct. The law prevents them from advertising online or visibly in stores. Tubos are plastic shrink wrapped where you can't even tell what the tube is until you look at the miniscule text on the sticker they affix. The prices are a bit more expensive than Spain. At Lisbon airport there are two prices: one for flights outside of the EU (ex VAT) and one for EU flights. There aren't too many cigar shops in Lisbon. The only LCDH in Portugal is in Lisbon.

When I was there, no one was selling singles of the Chiado and the price of €110 sounds about right. I'm not a fan of the Petit Robusto vitola, HdM Petit Robusto being the only exception.

Compared to Canada, the prices are significantly cheaper but the duty free selection is porous: only popular regular production stuff like Epi 2s, Monte 2, etc. You can't open the box because it's sealed with a band around the box. Everything is recent production: '15. Nothing regional except for the Chiado which, based on the few reviews I read, didn't exactly receive raving reviews. But the big caveat is, I'm more into regular production cigars, to begin with.

Regular price for the Chiados is actually 130€, the 110€ mentioned is for ex-VAT purchases. The problem is online purchases are now forbidden, as has been selling singles for quite some time now. Nonetheless, if anyone wants a box, shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to help - I believe both shops here in Porto still have boxes in stock.

That's odd, I believe the regular pricing was 130€. Will have to check back, as I bought a couple boxes from the initial release.

There's a good shop in Lisbon but I can't recall if it's a CDH. The one in Madeira was in Funchal but I heard rumours that it closed.

The shop in Lisbon is an LCDH. I am not sure if the shop in Madeira closed or not
