This bottle will be deeply missed once emptied.

This was really good

Lucky enough to be enjoying a simply magnificent 1971 Coutet tonight. Everything one could wish for in a mature Sauternes. Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not quite in my glass, however this was a pretty cool gift. This whiskey was last produced in the late 60s. This particular bottle is about 60yo, handed down from father, to son (who doesn't drink) to me. And I drink!

With leftover Lasagna and a MOFOH Robusto Trinity tonight. Tannins very refined allowing the fruit to show. Amazing for a 25 year-old Cru Bourgeois - haven't yet touched the 2000 second or first growths.

Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Baked Potato and Zucchini. Paired with a Williams Selyem 2007 Bucher Vineyards Pinot Noir. Absolutely spectacular.

I bet that was a great bottle of wine having a few years of aging on it.

Family still here for the 4th celebration. Dinner tonight was sous vide Chuck Roast at 132 degrees F for 24 hours and then seared in garlic butter in cast iron. Served with a 2008 Chappellet Pritchard Hill. Amazing how dark purple and smooth the wine was at 17 years old.

Ever had a beautifully prepared steak, perfect search, excellent side dish and when you bite into it, BLEAHHHH? Well this is what I have. It tastes like cheap burned steak. A very expensive, cheap burned steak.

“Finished” in half a dozen things, starting with awamori? You really should know better!

I was NOT thinking... and I agree 200% with you. Especially since the most recent purchase has been over 6 months ago, I was wanting to try something different. It'll be good for....gee... I really cannot think of anything!
