Fosgate Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Many of us have seen this happen in the U.S. Here is a notable incident where an Aussie cop notices these guy posing like he is Australian soldier the day before Anzac Day. Unlike in the U.S. video's where the posers usually try to make an escape once called out this guy has no where to run when confronted by police. Has anyone else been seeing people pose as military in their respective country? http://www.funker530.com/valor-fraud-busted-on-eve-of-anzac-day/ 1

Scroats Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 They deserve retribution and then Justice. They are mutually exclusive. Retribution is the opposite of justice. A free society cannot afford to allow retribution.
Smallclub Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 They deserve retribution and then Justice. The Klu Klux Klan has spoken…
CanuckSARTech Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 The Klu Klux Klan has spoken… "It is not enough to be wrong, one must also be polite." - Niels Bohr The polite thing seems to really be getting lost in the mix lately.

Has anyone else been seeing people pose as military in their respective country? http://www.funker530.com/valor-fraud-busted-on-eve-of-anzac-day/ We had a case of this happening recently here in Canada during our Remembrance Day ceremonies this past November 11th. http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/fake-soldier-franck-gervais-charged-with-impersonating-a-public-officer-misleading-use-of-badge-or-uniform http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/remembrance-day-sergeant-franck-gervais-not-in-the-military-dnd-says-1.2833025 http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/fake-soldier-franck-gervais-pleads-guilty Piece of trash even has photos floating about on the internet of getting married to his wife in this faked full dress uniform (called DEU's, or "distinct environmental uniform"). Not only was this dude so disrespectful to the uniform, but he apparently lied to even his wife and family about all this. How tainted is her memory of their wedding now? We still have to wait to see the fall-out of his acts, as his sentencing is still yet ahead, but his ultimate punishment is up to his family and wife (and notably, she hasn't been publicly supporting him, or attending his court dates by his side). No matter whether people are liberal or conservative, pro military or not, I think all recognize the passion behind society's disgust when people do this. It's an extremely disrespectful act that desecrates the memory of people who wore the uniform in the past (fighting and dying, or not), and of the blood, sweat, and tears that were put into the various Ops, missions, and taskings that have led to the various medals.
