Strike Two..........One more and your out. Which cigar is on the precipice of being booted off your island?

I'm always surprised at the ability of Cuban cigars to - well surprise. Smokes I said meh too, turn out interesting later, and conversely, smokes that turned me on at first blush are blah later on. So, I am unlikely to say never again.

Cigars I won't buy anytime soon include:

RA Extra, great fresh and I should have ploughed through the box right there and then, but I didn't.

PSD4, best ones, and they were quite good, I had were from a FOH sampler. The box purchase was a disappointment.

PL Belicosos Extra, another cigar were the sampler outperformed the box purchases.

Edmundo always seemed to be close, but not quite there for me.

Limited Editions, I've not chased these, but the few I have had convinced me not to bother.

Behike.

Like I said, I would not say never, but for now these are the ones that stand out. PSD4 is most likely to slip into the "try again via sampler category".

RA Extras no love for these and trying to figure out what to do with my remaining boxes. Dip #2 is an odd one for me as I have always liked the rest of the Diplomatico line, especially the 1's 3's an

Of late and I hate to say, it would be the PSD4. Used to love these, haven't had a really good example in some time. Could just be luck of the draw though......

like many here the Monte 2. I regret not buying that box in MTL when I smoked one that was just completely mesmerizing.

Hoyo epi 2. Never done a damn thing ...

Monte 5. About 5 ok ones from each and every box. 10 plugged, 10 wind tunnel...Enough...

Like Pigfish and a few others have said, I won't ever say I'll never buy another of any particular marca of a cigar. Lately the Hoyo Epi 2 has been highly disappointing to me but then again, this was the cigar that started my enthusiasm. Anymore, I just stick with a few marcas, buying multiple boxes of several different vitolas and I experience the same variety of flavor profiles doing this as I did when I bought boxes of every different marca and a much larger variet of vitolas. What may be horrible today, may be stunningly good tomorrow whether its a box I've been sitting on for several years or a new box that I've just bought.

Upmann Royal Robustos. These were excellent but are terrible now. Seems they have entered an endless 2nd fermentation…

Do you find this with all release years or just the original?

The original (SUB APR 11).

I have not been impressed with the Royal Robusto. I bought two boxes and have sampled four from each (both OR) and construction has been appalling. If they aren't tight, they are splitting or cracking. I have had one good example and it was good, but I would reach for a No. 2, Mag 46 or even the 2012 EL well before the another Royal Robusto.

None for me as I am too new to write any off for good but the one I am "probably" not buying for a while would be the PSD4. It was the cigar that turned me for cigars in general almost 5 years ago but ever since then I have looked for one of the same quality and flavor but have yet to find it.

PSD4 ( I do have a box of PSP in my locker) but so tired of them

Diplo #2 it's like smoking a bar of soap to me.

I could easily boot just about any cigar over 44RG. I am no longer transitioning or searching. I no longer try to try cigars that I understand as untested, unreliable or untrustworthy. I am decided, hell bent and stubborn... Isla Pigfish has been purged of most of the undesirables many moons ago!

On another note, the Cubans have done almost everything in their power to remove me from their customer rolls. Frankly, I believe that many of the best cigars are no longer made... There are still some gems to hoard and smoke. I could smoke the same brand and size everyday and get the tastes and variety I seek. I think I understand the Cuban cigar!

Cheers!  -the Pig

Pigster, what do you enjoy that is still being made today? It would be cool to try a "this little piggy went to market" top 10 cigars etc
