acidmase Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Life is a crazy journey and you never know where its gonna take you! My parents immigrated here from Poland with nothing. My mother worked in sweat shops as early as the age of 13 and my father had been working and attended school in the U.S around the same the same age. They busted their tails for my sister and I could have a better future then they did. After receiving my dream job and working for a approximately 3 years I decided it was time for me to treat myself. On April 2nd I will be turning 28 and proud of everything I've accomplished and thank my parents for making the sacrifice for my sister and I. This year i decided to get myself a "that a boy" gift. So I went and purchased myself Breitling Monbrillant Legende limited edition (746 of 2,000). I know a lot of guys collect and love watches so I decided to share with you guys! Like me see what you guys are wearing. 4
Hunter1974 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 way to give the props to mom and dad ! and congrats more of a timex/no watch man myself lol
CigarDarr111 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Well done.. always loved that big face thin bezel bretling. I myself am the eldest son of a immigrant hard working family that's the first in the family to step out into the world to make it and not be confined to making money with my back (hard work never killed anyone but why take the chance) so I can appreciate that first big "fruits of your labour" purchase. Keep doing what your doing and leave the door open for those around you. Congrats and keep it up
soutso Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 You should give it to your Dad! Beautiful watch, enjoy it. Wear it every day and if you have a son or ever have a son, he'll never have a better watch to wear than his old man's.
JohnS Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 My Dad gave me a Rado watch from the 1970s in the 1990s. Unfortunately, it was taken in a home break-in in 1999. I regret that every few months ever since, but I'm grateful for the Seiko my Dad bought me to replace it. No-one can replace the sentimental value of these gifts from your family and what they mean to you.
hounser Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Congrats on you and your family's success. Great watch, love Breitlings.
stunod Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I am looking for a watch myself. I like your Breitling.

It's better than anything new he could have given me purely because it was the FIRST thing he ever could afford when he left Vienna and moved to Italy back in 1970's. It's one of the most precious sentimental items I now have and not only will I give that to my son one day, but I'll give him one of my own also. What boy and man doesn't appreciate a time piece. As for your own watch acidmase, congrats. I am sure you father sees the nice things you now have and he can take credit for making the move from Poland to provide you all a better life. 1
