AlBaron Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Lets say you are unable to make it in time for the daily 24:24, and our hosts do not answer their PMs and/or emails (not that it ever happens in real life)... Your stash is running low, and you really need to place an order... What cigar/box code would you be comfortable ordering blind, and, most importantly, what is your reasoning?
garbandz Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 boli pc boli cj El Principe Parti short HUHC PL panatela
Smallclub Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 PSD4 Specially if you enjoy dried veiny greenish wrappers
Quint Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Specially if you enjoy dried veiny greenish wrappers What you don't like that ???The veins act like a roach clip at the end
Firebender Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Most of petit coronas, but definitely not the Monte #4 1
JohnS Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I agree with Firebender, the smaller ring gauge cigars such as the petit corona Bolivar Corona Junior, Bolivar Petit Corona and Partagas Shorts. High production cigars I definitely would not buy blind would be Montecristo No.2's and 4's, Partagas Series D No.4 and definitely most Cohibas (and I've had my fair share of good ones lately). As to what is smoking well and comes up on 24:24 sales often, I would consider H.Upmann Half Coronas and Connoisseur A's as cigars that have been consistent lately. 1
AlBaron Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 I'm seeing a lot of smaller cigars being mentioned. Is it simply (and please be honest) because they are cheaper, and it makes the blind purchase less risky? Alex
dflan82 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I purchased a box of Bolivar Royal Coronas blind and they have been outstanding. ULA box code which has popped up quite a few times on the 24:24's (which I picked up as well). I'm not the most experienced CC smoker but the recent production of Bolivar cigars seems to be on point.
Troels Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Guess I would have to have bought the same kind of boxes several times to be able to tell, which is not the case - can what I did not have luck with: brc, rass 25, shorts 25!
muzz Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I guess I've bought all mine blind, trial and error for a newbie
mash Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Specially if you enjoy dried veiny greenish wrappers I suppose it depends on your source. I've bought lots of boxes of these blind and never had this issue.
earthson Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Most HU, most RA, any of the minutos (although I'm not familiar with the Siglo 1)
forgop Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Look at the tread from the Prez of his top 30 of 2014. I believe he said he opened 13k boxes and came away with his list for best overall.
Franko Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Honestly any.. I've been lucky to get most of quality boxes!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
