I was wondering today about the Siglo series and realised that I've never tried a Siglo 3, in fact scratch that I don't think I've ever even seen one!

What are your experiences with the cigar?

Are they good sellers?

I'd assume they very rarely get made at El Laguito?

The Siglo 3 is one of fav. format. If they spot on - it's good value for money.

2 Stories:

bought some Siglo Tubos hand picked myself two years ago, smoke one in the summer and for me this one will receive easily the shittiest cigar award 2014.

Last year a friend was in Cuba and she was thinking of me and brought me some cigars. The thing was she forgot about the cigars and stored them 8 month in a cupboard. I put them in the humidor for a few month, tried it on Thursday. Man this was ugly one with green spot on it. Honestly on of the best cigars in 2014. Just spot on.

So that's said, I can easily continue with stories of Siglo 3. But she has always a chance to find her way to her other sisters in stock. JM2C

These are my favourite regular production cigars. They're consistently consistently consistent. If you want, shoot me your address and you can try one from my 2012 selection smile.png.

Have smoked through 3 x 5x5 boxes. Oddly enough, I've never bought an entire 25SLB. Another odd thing is I've never actually tried one older than 3 years.................

Yes. Through all my searches, I have only found one box code (TAU, if I can remember? 2011?) found at El Laguito. Overpriced as always. But very rarely is putting it lightly innocent.gif

I find the Siglo III much more balanced than the Siglo II, and the size is one of my favorite; but again I'm not a fan of the Siglo line…

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Even the last part.

That being said, Siglo III Ueber alles.

Let me answer your quote with a quote... peace.gif

I enjoy a good Cohiba but find them priced too high.

Really ends up being a personal preference at the end of the day smile.png

Of course, K... :ok:

I do understand what you mean about the QdO having a similar enjoyment factor... Of all the cigars to compare to a Siglo III, I'm glad you mentioned the QdO

The Siglo III was the cigar that really started me in a serious way many years ago. Still love them and always have around but prefer the IV.

I've not tried too many Cohibas, as they tend to be too expensive, but I did get 2 singles of siglo 3's when I went to visit my best friend in the occasion of the birth of his first child. I loved loved loved the cigar, one of my favorite ever cigars, and when the ship comes in I will buy many boxes. At this point though, for me, they're still too pricy. Maybe if I can win our fantasy football league...

Siglo III's when right are just class. To me a little more intense Esplendido in a format I enjoy far more.

The siglo III is often overlooked by folks who smoke the Siglo line. a fine cigar in its own right Great size also of which there are too few left in the Habanos world.

I smoke more Siglo III's than any other Cohiba.

I love the size and I can get them for just a few $$$'s more then the Siglo II's, so that makes them a "bargin" to me.

I'm guessing they're not big sellers because of they're pricing, can't remember seeing any with the El Laquito code.

Easy to find on the gray market, I'll keep loading up on them as long as they're price stays "low".

I think I'll fire one up after finishing the Upmann #2 I'm smoking.

Always wanted to try these but being unemployed it will be a very long time before I will get the chance. Only smoked 1 Cohiba since smoking CC and that was given to me. It was a 2013 Cohiba Esplendidos and I truly loved it, wished he would have given me more to try out.

Some day I will get to try the Siglo series but for now I just drool over the pictures.

I enjoy the III a lot,it has a lot of flavor, and a couple of boxes I have are surprisingly full flavored, these being from 2012.

A friend sent over some 2007s, still have a few, and I think they pale in comparison to my 2012s.

I reach for these when I have peace and quiet,so I can savor the nuances.

When I want to be spoiled,I reach for a Siglo IV.

not exactly a bargain... but i'm not sure on your spending habits. for me, these are a relatively fair priced smokes. If you want to smoke good cigars, you have to pay. And that's what I do...

Troyas are what I call a bargain!

Hard to say. I think they're just overlooked because they're not raved about as much as the other Siglos.

fair enough

Peaceful puffs, mate :)
