topdiesel Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Which island you on. Sir Wilfred's in Maui is good but pricey. It is best to bring your own to the islands. 1
westg Posted November 28, 2014 Author Posted November 28, 2014 Oahu....I know fist time ever for me not to take cigars on a trip. Smoked an Island prince last night for around 20 bucks ... 1
topdiesel Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Sorry, can't help you out. I don't spend much time on Oahu or the big island. I prefer Maui and Kauai. Hopefully you can hook up with someone one here that is in the area. Enjoy the trip
bigfunkyg Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 There are a few shops in Wikiki not far from Ala Moana Mall. One had a decent walk in humi. 1
Carts Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Tobaccos of Hawaii 512 Atkinson Drive Has a bunch of large cabinets with a huge variety of NCs there and its just around the corner from ala moana 1
westg Posted November 28, 2014 Author Posted November 28, 2014 Thanks to everyone... Will check them all out
Notsocleaver Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 if you go to Tobaccos of Hawaii, take some time to chat up whoever is working there. They keep the good stuff in the back. No cubans obviously, but you might get some old litto gomez small batch or some liga pravada unicos if you ask nicely. R. Fields is a specialty food shop in a Foodland on breitania street. You'd never guess it, but the guy who owns the place must have crazy connections. Viaje, Romacraft, Illusione and Tatujae have all done store only releases for him. worth a look.

LeafLover Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Just curious? Why did you not pack the essentials?
LeafLover Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Make sure you hit up one of the shrimp tricks and Matsumoto's for shaved ice. Get some breakfast at Kimo's and Boots. 1
westg Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 Just curious? Why did you not pack the essentials? We packed so much luggage at about 1am for a 5am flight ..living in Australia and flying into the US I really could not be bothered..thought I would just give some non Cubans a crack and it has turned out that I am enjoying them... just finished dinner and I am suitably impressed with one of three Viaje lanceros I picked up with a Penfolds red on the hotel balcony

LeafLover Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Shrimp trucks....not tricks. Definitely don't try the tricks in Waikiki. Half of them are trannies. At least that's what I'm told. Lol.
