Popular Post El Presidente Posted September 16, 2014 Popular Post Posted September 16, 2014 Touch of melancholy today perhaps We can argue over guns, religion, send PM reports to mods over mean things.......whatever. Smoked a Tampa Custom this afternoon. Glorious. It was named after one of our original mods in Chuck. Chuck Vaughan- LLoyd (Tampa 1257) One of the great blokes you will ever meet. We will meet again. The thing about forums is that people pass away. I will, you will. Still, we should, we will, raise our glass of whatever once in a while, light a cigar and pass tribute to those who have gone before us. Those who provided a candle in our lives. We hope you traveled well. Pray for us, See you on the other side. Your shout. 19
Colt45 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 When I light up, I often think of Chuck, Jack O'Halloran, how close we may have come with Guy, other friends lost, friends missed... Smoking alone quietly often allows a clarity which can be beautiful, but can also bring a sense of melancholy. 2

Stanislaw Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 sadly, it's commonplace in this life to have someone move on and leave you behind to take stock in your friendship, remember old times and contemplate your own existence in this world... all things I find in a great cigar and it's probably the main reason why I love smoking them so much... bad cigars make me grumpy and tense but a good cigar is a spiritual experience... and hell yes there are cigars in heaven....
tjohn7 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I never knew him but from everything I hear he was an outstanding man. Tonight, I'll have a smoke in his honor. To Tampa!
PigFish Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I have a box of SdC #2 that I have set aside in the man's honor… A lover of leaf, a man who understood the nuance of what is in essence a cigar. Having come close to meeting God myself back in '08, I understand a bit better than many the transient state of life. Life is to short to abuse the ones you love, and smoke bad cigars. Cheers Chuck… and Van, too! Good of you to remember my friend! -Ray 1
