dogdays Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 To a point. The senses are....well... sensual! I want nothing more(than I have) personally, in cigar world or other. I could live off what I have stashed away and that will blow no one away. I am but a peasant in the way of cigars and all things in life. Keep your $25 cigars and give me a Partagas Connie 1/2/3/. I will choose it over a Behike or Cohiba Gran Reserva. Take away the Super model and give me a woman who can laugh and dance while putting up with me. The one who does it day in and day out. The one who cuddles on a couch. The one whom knows you. Cigars are not the same I know. But with time you know what you love. I can live with the basics because they are not lesser. They are more because of what they deliver. This is why we are not too far away from our core beliefs Piggy. My Top 5 Upmann Super Corona Partagas Connie 3 Partagas 898 Magnum 46 Upmann Connie A Keep the change . I won't miss it. Very well said !

Smallclub Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 This thread reminds me how lucky I am to still have a few Upmann Super Corona and RA 898 in my possession… (not many…) of course it also reminds me how stupid I am for not having stocked some Grandes of España and Partagas SdC… 1

Poetry mate, pure poetry… For a moment I thought of the 'profit potential' in the concept of the 'offer.' But why would I suddenly change my core beliefs about cigars for such foolishness? It can't and won't think of them as collectors' items, it is just not what I think of them. I loved your post mate, and it sums me up perfectly. No matter what my favorite cigars are, there is always that possibility of duds… It just comes with the territory. In premium cigars then, sometimes the quantity reflects the ability to smoke better than a presumption of quality. Since I said it and made my point, my 5 look like this I guess. Partagas Selección Privada Partagas SdC #2 Grandes de Espana Ramon Allones PC and depending on "vendor" stock… -LOL Diplomatico #1 or Upmann Lonsdale, or 10 or so others! and, I can still use a good blanket, even if it comes wet… Cheers mate! -Ray 1

You take an item that you love, one that was once ordinary and dispensable, and suddenly it turns into something of more value than it was ever intended to be. You smoked them freely, gave them away to the unknowing and shared them with mates. When a cigar becomes more than a cigar, the whole concept of them simply breaks down. Cheers! -Piggy 3

PigFish Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 ....... I'm a mate! … share(D) them with mates, mate!… "SHARED" THEM WITH MATES… Why do my friends from the north have a problem understanding me…? On another note, other than my 898's, intentions that both you and Keith have both made pretty clear, WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT??? -LOL I still owe Chris 5 SLR PC's and now I need a new address to send them too… I am worse at sending cigars than I am at answering my email… So be warned! -LOL Cheers! -R

Hope you liked those EL's and RE's I sent you a while back, Ray!!!! 1
PigFish Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 LOL. Hope you liked those EL's and RE's I sent you a while back, Ray!!!! You know mate I liked the RA. I don't know if it was you or Chris that sent me the Bolivar robusto EL, whatever they call them… That cigar was unique and I thought very good! I certainly don't mind giving credit where it is due and I liked both of these cigars. Take off a band, put them in a cab of 50 and price them fair and I will be a buyer and less of a critic…! If it were not for you and a handful of other friends here that share cigars that I will never buy, I would never have tried them. My brothers are good to me! …if I am going to rip someone off on a box of RA898's it will be you brother, it will be you… -LOL -Ray 1

I don't know if it was you or Chris that sent me the Bolivar robusto EL, whatever they call them… That cigar was unique and I thought very good! Can't remember exactly what I sent you, but I know it was all tongue-in-cheek EL's and RE's. I know I didn't send you any Bolivar robusto / EL, but if it was a Canadian-banded RE, then that was the Simones that I sent ya. (Who knows though, Chris may have sent something similar too). EDIT - and those RA Extras are something wonderful, if you have a "matching palate" to that RA blend. I think they're gonna be just epic within another two or three years likely. And, for their size, the fact they're a throw-back band, other marketing hype, and yes, even being an EL, they're actually one of the best priced and best released ELs in AGES. …if I am going to rip someone off on a box of RA898's it will be you brother, it will be you… -LOL -Ray LOL. Nah, I'll just wait until ya croak, and then just hope that Lady Piggy forwards them as per our discussions about me in your will. Or, I can send you a box of those donkey dong Cohiba LE's from this year in even exchange! LOL.
PigFish Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 … while on the subject of devising property, so what would it be, a box of 898's or a comped Glock? -R

RijkdeGooier Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I would probably go with a list Julieta No.2 1. Sir Winston 2. ERdM Taino 3. LGC Taino 4. Partagas Churchill de Luxe 5. RyJ Churchill Tubo All of them from 2002/03, together they should make the amount with some small change left. At least in my neck of the woods (yes I can still source these).
