Principe Consistency

Anyone know what the reputation of these is for construction etc? Had a few recently and they are stellar.

I've smoked multiple boxes and never had a really bad one, normally they are excellent. Just the odd one that's plugged, same as any small ring gauge Cuban cigar.

They are very, very consistently not in my wheelhouse.

But I can easily see how so many people can like them and have them as a great short smoke.

EL Principe is my favorite minuto. The blend is very consistent. Each box usually contains 2 or 3 underfilled ones – I can't remember a plugged one.

I've been through a few coxes of them over the years. The El Principe is one of my favorite minutos as well. Construction is pretty consistant. But earlier this week I got my first plugged one ever. But that wont scare me off from ordering another box of them in the future. I thought they were on the discontinue list. But they are still quite easy to obtain as of right now.

Like smallclub, I have never had a plug. A couple slightly tight, a couple slightly loose....otherwise, outstanding in every way.

Almost done a box and I've only had a couple underfilled ones. I initially did not "get" this cigar but after resting year in the humidor, I now really like these. I will be sourcing more.

Certain sweetness to this smoke. Very unique in my opinion. Love them. Never had a bad one out of my box so far.

I've found they still taste a bit harsh after a couple of months, but the toasted tobacco and bread/nuttiness comes in spades.

I'm on my second box now, they're not.bad young. I'd imagine they'd calm down a bit aged though.

Demerara, cassonade, molasse, brown sugar, muscovado, etc. I agree, this is a very specific component/characteristic of this liga.
