mattdivo Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Any good Petit Coronas that are smoking young? I just got a cabinet of Party Shorts and they are ligero sticks - might need up to a year to mellow out.
potpest Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I love Boli, Juan Lopez, Upmann and Rafael Gonzalez PC's young. Always have trouble putting some of these 4 aside to age.
Yagermeister Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I've never had a Party Short but I've heard they don't need that much time. Try Monte 4, Boli PC, RyJ PCs. RASCC are great, too (though, like Party Shorts, not technically a PC).
rmill3r Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I'm loving my Party Shorts young. But Boli PC for sure.
garbandz Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 J Lopez, RyJ Mille fleur, Upmann, Hoyo coronations, R Gonzales, all good sticks young. El Principe,RASCC,Boli cj,great minuto sticks...........
earthson Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 The only one I could recommend without reservation is the RyJ Mille Fleurs. JL PCs are hit-or-miss construction-wise recently, the Bolivar just aren't cup of beer (too strong), and the rest I'm familiar with (Monte, H Ups, RyJ) need a few years. I don't know anything about Cohibas of late - there are some small sizes there but I don't typically purhcase that brand
subport Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Bolivar pc is just smoking great young. Monte 4 come close too but lately I realised I like them lot more around 2yrs on them. If minutos counts partagas shorts and bolivar corona juniors are there. Rascc is like monte 4 for me. I prefer them more after 2 yrs.
Tino Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Rob picks incredible Monte 4. Rafael Gonzalez PC are a good milder choice and you can find boxes with a few years on them
Nedule Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 my Upmann HC have been great fresh, bought a 2nd box, much more mellow than my fresh shorts.
earthson Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Oh, yeah - if we're including minutos, RASCC are the creme de la creme IMO
santela Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 The Bolivar PCs I had were only one year old and they were great. Had a PLPC from Rob's sampler and it was glorious, I don't know the age but I'm assuming it wasn't that old since it was in the sampler. Too bad they only come in 50 cabs, so I don't wanna risk buying blind and being stuck with subpar stock. Waiting for a good deal from our host to pull the trigger. From what I hear they need a couple years to shine though.

Oh I have no doubt, if they are all like the one I just smoked they'll be on the top of my shopping list too. Just wanna get my feet wet with these first before diving in.
Habana Mike Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Dell and Lenovo make pretty good PCs, Apple Mac and Toshiba as well. LG's coming along and I'm not a big fan of HP. Alienware beats all those but you do get what you pay for. If you're looking for a great PC, check out the Yoyotech XDNA Aurum 24K! 3
SaintLuis Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Boli PCs are smoking great. For minutos: RASCC are good young, but 2 years is kind of a sweet spot for me too. They're still good earlier. I like punch petit coronations, party shorts and El principe too.

Yes you get good components but you can get better gaming laptops for the price. Asus ROG series for example. Lenovo has a good rep, but one that's based on their IBM heritage only

If you're wanting less of a commitment for the PL brand, I'd strongly urge the Montecarlos - they are better than most smokes 3 times their price! 1
