Rob now I know why you were talking about these so much. Box landed last week and I broke the rule and smoked 2 the next day I got em they were so good, smoking another right now. They remind me very much of a Mag 46 with just a touch under of that mongrel that the Mag 46 has but these are very satisfying. I think the code on these is OCT 13'.

Rule # 1 - Don't talk about Cigar Club Rule # 2 - Don't put the hot end in your mouth

It is not about the box code guys. I have bra oct 13 beside bam and all the same. The sep oct nov were all out of space no matter of codes

Yes yes yes! The BAM OCT 13 are fantastic smokes. The power of the flavour to me is impressive, cuts through any other lingering tastes in your mouth. Loving these a lot but definitely want to try to save a few to age

I have heard allot of great things about this cigar. Glad to hear you finally took the plunge to buy a box.

I have not been blessed with a chance to buy this cigar yet. I am trying to find a 3 or 5 pack sampler from the USA I like to sample before spending a couple hundred dollars on a box.

Enjoy your new found cigars and let us know

That good huh?

I tried a couple of singles over the last year, but put off getting a box. Looking to get one now!

Good to hear these are smoking good. I recently got a box of BAM Oct '13 from our host and haven't tried one yet. The first one out of the box went to a new friend here in a trade. Glad to know I sent him something nice.

Mine have been resting for about 10 days now. That's practically aged, isn't it? I think I'll give one a try.

Thanks for the report.

RE: "...I broke the rule and smoked 2 the next day..." I thought there are no rules to cigar smoking. ;-}

Bam codes have been great. The early 2013 Bam's Mar and Feb were excellent also. Just had an Oct BAM arrive and a MAR 2012 not sure the code from Rob. Was happy to get a 2012 box as was thinking it would be a 2014 box. Love these cigars have always been a staple in my humi.

My box arrived last week with a BUA MAR 12 box code.

Any idea how these will compare to the BAM 13's?

I'm doing my best to let them rest for a couple more weeks.... also, hoping these are age-worthy and will try to save a number of them for the long-run.

Seems to me it was sometime last fall that Rob started to hype (in the best way) recent Punch Punch. I have no idea what the code is on the box I received in the spring, but I am running out PDQ.

I hand a Bam Mar 13 punch punch to one of the regular cigar smokers in my fraternity. He smokes it, raving about it the whole time. He finally puts it down at the very end. He says, "That was one of the best cubans I have ever smoked! What is Punch, is that on the same level as Cohiba? How much is a box of these going to cost me, $25 a piece?" I say, "Yep, and ill give you 2 more free!"

I'm ordering a box of punch punch and "a 50 cabby thingy of those gold banded petit things" for him......

You can order singles directly from our host through *****INT aka INT store,

or by simply emailing Diana.

Prices are very reasonable, and you are sure to receive top quality smokes.

Obviously, they are not available from US based sources,

as the embargo on Cuban goods is still very much in force.

A BAM MAR '13 smoked last Sunday was, without contest, the best cigar I have smoked in ages.

A solid 97, with the potential to reach 99-100!

I've got a HQ box of BAM coded Punch Punch. Perfect construction, good flavour. They are good now, but in a couple years they could be great.

Has anyone smoked any 13' out of a 50 cab? Thinking about picking up one unless the dress boxes are the better choice!

Posted

I have a 13 box as well (dont know the code ill look later) and so far one was really good and the other was meh. Ill try another in a few weeks to see if it will be time to put them to rest or enjoy now.

The 50 cab is better, but I don't agree with all the hype.......IMHO this cigar is overrated

I love punch punch, have been a fan for a long time. For most boxes I have purchased over the years they seem to smoke much better with 5 plus years on them. The BAM codes from 2013 have been excellent ROTT and I have smoked through 2 boxes fresh have have a few boxes and a 50 cab to lay down and see what some age will do. Have not tried the 50 cab yet but heard good things. Usually do not believe the hype but BAM 13 punch punch and BTO Siglo 6's I do!

Addendum to rule 2: don't put either end anywhere else wink.png

That addendum is referred to as the Bill Clinton Rule.

No BAM code here, but I have an OPG ABR 14, and while they have the world's most show-stopping wrappers (they look good, just not crazy great or anything), they are absolutely delightful to smoke. I admit I've only had one, because ABR 14 is awfully young, but I find Punch2 don't need years of age to be great. That's one of the things I like in a cigar actually—not enough humidor room to be buying 10 boxes a week or anything—and these are one of my favorites. They get better with age, as most sticks do, but not THAT much better (not like Cohiba, say). Haven't let me down yet.

The one I did smoke, which I smoked as soon as I got the box into my house, was stunningly good, actually. Rich, toasty, roasty, and—get this, no joke—peanut butter on the finish for the last third, and on my palate for the next 30-40 minutes. No lie, peanut butter; and not a bad/weird flavor either. Totally unusual in my experience, but man, it was phenomenal. Yeah, Punch2 are great. biggrin.png
