RASS - Another Tosser What Gives?

Not sure what gives guys. This used to be one of my favorite sticks but this box me and newkarian split is absolute rubbish. Not sure on box code but sure I can get it if need be. It's a 2013 dress box. Tastes like the roller took some dog **** and scraps of rubber and put them in the blend.

Yes I can concur. Only cigar that ever made me gag. Was so retched and weird I couldn't stop tasting it lol. Tasted like meat and rubber. Dripling tar. The "good" ones were bland and flat. I have one left if anyone wants a taste lol.

What a coincidence, I just tossed a '13 RASS today too. Picked up from Cuba last year, the whole box was a write off, thought they would get better over time, nope... Shitty wrapper dull, light and tasted like cardboard, but towards the end on some they started to get better.... I try not to buy blind anymore, gotta love FOH select program

I don't think it has anything to do with buying blind or not. A bad blend is invisible. A box can look good, smell good, and tastes like rubbish.

btw I no longer purchase RASS, I don't even remember the last time I had a good one. I've replaced it with the Superiores

Very interesting. My box of MUR ABR 13s started off excellent but the one I had several weeks ago was complete rubbish. I'm hoping it's just a phase they are going through and they will return to their former glory.

I have only smoked 3 from a mur abr 13 box. All of them were spot on, great cigars. Nothing wrong I can say about. Hopefully will go on like that.

My ALT feb 13 were crap a year ago but trued one yesterday and they're coming around now. I reckon these ones need about 3 years to smooth out fully.

I also have moved to the SUP ' to satisfy by RA fix...but remember that the 08's were terrible when first released and are superb today. ....not fare to judge a cigar at the 1 yr mark

You're the 1st person I've ever heard say this. Rass is one of my favorites but, I can't and won't smoke them younger than 4years old. Just asking for trouble when you smoke a cigar that's not ready to be smoked.

I think '13 spoiled all of us. From 3-5 day shipping times to a ton of cigars smoking great ROTT.

Smoking fresh RASS initially turned me off to the marca as they were trash. Then I was gifted a couple of superiores and after smoking them I fell in love with the marca. Im still cautious on the RASS (have one 13 box resting) but I went deeeeeep in RASCC, superiores, super ramons, and uk petit belis. I just think the RASS need a good 4 years before they come around...

I have smoked a couple from czar and they were good. I do think they would benefit from aging as ammonia was detectable. On the other hand I too have been leaning towards the superiores especially since my brother always grabs me a box in dubai on the way through. All have been spot on that I have smoked and cant beat the price.

A poorly blended cigar that tastes terrible will taste terrible even 5 years down the road. Nothing will help it. This is one of the major problems with cigars from Cuba. Inconsistency.

Thats right A cigar with A BAD taste,will only turn into an aged cigar with A bad taste! I bought A box of another site, did'nt pay much attention to the box code,now I have to dig in my cooler and check it out.I was'nt going to get into them untill fall,if there not good I need to free up the space!
