What a load of hogwash. It is scientifically proven that bloom/plume is caused by magical pixies making sweet love on your cigars...

Hmmmm, no need for pixies... Ask Mr. Clinton about the secret to instant plume

Ooooh....Hydrocarbons....I just love it when you talk dirty!

I seem to remember Rob talking about his trip to the Fox dungeon in Ireland and seeing some cigars with plume like giant barnacles? Ie not an even spread but extremely concentrated in certain areas and seemingly solid in structure.

Not sure if this contributes but I do really like the word barnacles.

plumin', bloomin, is it somethin' human

or is it something natural, oils gettin' fractural

those little dusted beauties, some say that it's the greatest

are they on to something, or is it master baitist

what's the science, does it matter

do cigars taste any better when resembling drying leather

little crystals, chalky dust sign of flavor maybe neither

sign of condition more likely so, no phd so i don't know

maybe some day we'll figure them out

the tiny little crystals which bring on such doubt

the discussion may linger, there may be no limit

i'll smoke plumed or not, enjoy every minute

Plume or mold will end in ash

But you did best by Ogden Nash!

… I have been hopping someone would cross the line so I can say…"That's a bloomin' lie."whip.gif

Andy said above (or in the other thread) that he has seen these old dungeon cigars many times without seeing any plume. I also saw most of these boxes last year and don't recall seeing any plume, although I was too much in awe to even be thinking about plume. lol But, I never noticed plume or mold so nothing obviously stuck out. But... I probably didn't see the entire dungeon collection like Rob would have. :) lol
