I had this question text to me from a great mate.

H. Upmann Connoisseur A or Cohiba Siglo VI?

Assuming both great boxes (HQ) from 2013/early 14.

I gave him my opinion....wondering what yours would be?

Man, tough call. I've been lucky to have smoked both, but maybe this is the excuse I need to revisit each and make a decision...

To make a choice right now, I'd go Connie. Strictly based on price

Real tough call! I don't think they are the same horse at all. If both are good, they both are hard to beat, but the HU A's are one of my favorites of the year for me right now. Reminds me of a shorter classic Sir Winston from the 90's! Classy and refined!

Connie A all the way - before they mess it up, which they invariably will. Siglo VI can always be had and they're more expensive to boot.

I'd go Siglo VI personally. The Connie A is a great cigar and I know friends that it's spot on for them, so this is no complaint against the cigar, just a personal preference.

The Siglo VI also travels very well for me. Never plugs up in high heat/humidity situations. I was hoping that the IV would travel as well, but for now the cab I've got is just too young to smoke. If I could get a VI flavor profile in a IV format it would be perfect!

Today the A is better and is likely to be for the next 5 yrs......after that! Your guess is as good as mine

My HQ Sep 13 BTO Sig 6's have been sublime for such a young Cohiba, Perfect wrapper and construction. With time the 6's will likely be the best box in my collection.. Still have yet to try a Connie A but that day will soon come so I can't comment on which is better.
