elpedro Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Hello, I´m Pietro from Italy, I´ve been following this forum by reading your posts for quite a while until I've finally decided to register and introduce myself. I´m from Como, I´ve been studying law and I´m specialized in refugees and human rights, that´s why I´ve been traveling around quite a bit and it´s a few years that I don´t live anymore in Italy. In the past I´ve been living for 6 months in Cuba, 4 months in Dominican Republic and for several years in Spain. There comes my user name "Pedro". Currently I´m not living in a such cigar friendly country. I started smoking cigars 10 years ago, I mostly smoke cubans, rarely some toscano and even more rarely some Dominicans/Nicaraguas etc. I really enjoy old-fashioned vitolas like cervantes, dalia, marevas, coronas and coronas gordas more than modern robusto-extra, double-robusto and so … However amongst bigger size I do enjoy Piramides, Campanas and all sort of double figurados. In the past I´ve been writing on different forums in italian, spanish and international ones. I do believe that in forums one can find huge information on different aspect of cigar world: storage, history, factories, cultivating technique, leaves, tasting notes, journey, tips etc. However on a long term I start losing interest in following most of these forums since most of the post are about "what did you smoke yesterday", "what´s your latest purchase" and so on … So far I´m still very interested in following Friends of Habanos, where I still find many interesting posts. Additionally I know some of the members here, like Nino-Flying Cigar from Germany and Mr.Japan-Gino from Italy. I do really believe that an average cigar with good company is far more enjoyable than a rare and exclusive cigar smoked alone. And same applies for spirits and so on … At least that´s how I see it. In the past thanks to cigars I met very nice people and had shared very nice moments with them. Well I think that´s all for my introduction. Best regards to all of you Pietro 1

joncat Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Ciao Pietro. Saluti dal Canada. I am a cigar enthusiast who has recently joined FOH I share your sentiments about many cigar sites. I find most of the comments mundane and not at all interesting or informative. I look forward to your comments and insight on Habanos which I trust will be more substantive. John.
