We have two great games on Sunday. First off San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks. Seattle dominated the 49ers earlier in the season at home and lost on the road in a close game down the stretch.

Seattle has been almost unbeatable at home. There defense last week looked ferocious against New Orleans. Colin Kaepernick has been playing his best football as of late but it is going to be a tall order to go into Seattle and get a win. Should be a great game believe it is a 6:30pm est kickoff.

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos. Two of the greatest quarterbacks of this era square off for a trip to the Super Bowl. Denver lost 31 to 34 in week 12 at New England. This should be a shootout and the last quarterback with the ball in their hands could be the winner. Personally Peyton Manning is one of my favorite players and would love to see him get another shot at a Super Bowl ring, but Tom Brady just seems to know how to win even with receivers that no one has ever heard of. This has potential to be an all time great.

Two weeks left till the season is over. I seem to be into a depressed state till September rolls around and football starts again. Guess I am a diehard and love the sport.

I'm in the same boat, Laxman. My team is long since gone and finished, but these last two weeks have been some fantastic playoff football already, and this Sunday should be one of those days where you don't want to miss a play. These two games are going to be fierce.

And you're right that the only down side is that there are only three games left, and then 7 months of nothing. But most of those months can be spent with a cigar on the porch and a baseball game on the radio, which isn't all that bad.

I second that Oliverdst... Best games in the payoffs i have seen in quite some time...

I think the quality of football has been subpar this year up until last weeks playoff games. A lot of poorly played games and officiating that seems to cater to fantasy football. However, I will miss it when the season is over....GO PATS!!!

Not sure how many of my fellow Australians follow the NFL but I have been loving it of late. I am a Seattle man myself and have a slight man crush on Marshawn Lynch. What an absolute beast. He could seriously tow a truck. And quickly.

Great Games indeed. I'm going with Hawks & Broncos

Aside from the fact that the Seahawks seem to be relying on their defense to score points, that is, their offense has gone walkabout, still picking them to win.

With the Pats new found running game, I believe the Pats and Brady will ruin Manning's day yet again.

Die hard Seahawks fan here. Its a good time to be a football fan in Seattle. I've been to two games this season and the experience has been electric. I like our chances to win it all this year. You don't need a lot of passing offense when "THE BEAST" can run at will. The Seahawks defense are the standouts, best defense in football.

I also think it is fitting that we are playing the 40 whiners. NFC west....best division in football this year.

I was a fan when we wallowed deep in our failures, I was a fan when we went to the Superbowl...and lost.

I think (hope) this will be our year.

GO HAWKS!

Pats fan my entire life. This is going to be a hard game for the Pats to win although Denver losing a top corner helps us a bit. I think as with the last 3 games where the Patriots have remade their offense, the run game will be key. The issue we face now though is that if teams load up on Blount, Brady only has 1 receiver that he really trusts (Edelman) and the Broncos know that as well. We will be forced to spread the ball around, get a lucky turnover in Denver's zone, and not turn the ball over ourselves to win on the road. Our margin for error is razor thin.

I hope the Seahawks win too, and I hope you're right about the passing game. The problem may be that if Niners don't respect the pass, they'll load the box and put more pressure on the Hawks ground attack. A Super Bowl offence can't be one dimensional.

Seattle native. Went to my first Seahawks game in the Kingdome when I was 5 years old. Steve Largent is still my favorite player of all time. Moved to North Dakota almost 14 years ago, so it's been a while since I've seen them play in Seattle. But I'm absolutely giddy about the Seahawks chance to get back to the Superbowl... and when they do I hope the zebras don't hand the game to the other team like they did the first time around. The football gods owe Seattle. LOL

I hope, too, that Denver makes it through. I can't stand Brady and I like Manning. Plus, it would be awesome to bring out the Bronco Busters theme again.

Cheers,

Greg

I hope Seattle wins it too, but if they don't I have absolute confidence that their fans will blame it on something besides the team's performance.
